Hello. New to the XDA forums...
Managed to get leanllauncher version but can't finish part 5 (change location) because I can't push back build.prop.
I get "read-only-error" when in normal mode / bootloader mode. And if I try to boot in to recovery mode, adb can't find my device.
Help would be appreciated.

After months without using the "Xiaomi mi box MDZ-19-AA" Updated the system following this tutorial.. At this time it does not turn on and the black screen with the Xiaomi logo appears. I press the Home + menu button and the recovery screen appears (As it appears in the help), but the remote control does not work and it does not let me select any option. Did anyone have this problem?

With the USB keyboard I could press "Restore" and my "Mi Box 3S (MDZ-19-AA)" returned to version 147. The problem is that I can not downgrade to 145, when I restart the screen stays black, with the "Xiaomi" logo . I've tried with different firmwares found on the internet, but none of them work and the same thing happens.

Do you know what can happen?

I had the same problem with one of my boxes, I did not find a solution for the downgrade problem. I ended up enabling debugging mode, then using "Debloater" software to disable all Chinese apps, then installed launcher, kodi, aptoide...

I do not understand how many people worked this tutorial and we do not. Do we have another internal version? I hope someone gives us some additional information.

At the moment I'm going to do the same thing you did. What launcher, gapps did you install?

I ran steps 1 to 3 successfully on my MDZ-19-AA.
Regarding “Settings”, I have the “phone” style app (where I can’t change HDMI settings), and the original one (long press on Menu button in LeanBack Home).

Is there a way to have the original Android TV Settings App ?

Previously (in stock rom) I was using wireless (not bluetooth) Logitech Mk235 and mouse. Now it doesn't work. In the keyboards I can't see "external usb keyboard" as perviously, just leanback and generic virtual keyboards. Is anyone experiencing similar problems?

Edit build.prop on PC, then push it via ADB.

Make sure usb debugging is disabled, happened to me once where it refused to recognize usb drive, restored to stock and it was working again.

Yes, it was good guess.

Are you able to use voice by clicking the microphone on the main screen? I have camera attached, Skype sees the microphone and the camera but android (Google launcher) says "can't reach Google". Do you have the same experience?
