I want to unlock the bootloader and root my phone but i need the safest way to do it. I had root my previous phone(wfs) smoothly(without any trouble). When i press the volume button and the power button the bootloader appears. Nevertheless, i dont know if needs to be unlocked. If need be, i need a safe way to unlock the bootloader and root my phone. Thanks

Bill, to root your device you have two choices. To S-OFF the device or to unlock the bootloader. Both are the safest way to root but it depends on what you want.

Read the guide in my signature to find out more information and read the AAHK2 thread in the general section.

Can you tell me the difference between s-off and bootloader unlock? What would be better?

What about reading a bit. I have just tipped you off on what are the choices and where to find information. S-OFF means Nand Security OFF whereas Unlock bootloader allows you to flash a custom recovery and custom roms but not flashing radios.

But it all depends on what you are willing to do and how confortable you feel by having to deal with S-OFF. IMO, S-OFF is the best way, but again, take your own decision based on what suits you better. :good:
