I meant for those of us locked in with MJ9. I thought safestrap would have been a priority for developers.. But you're right, there has been plenty done. It's better than nothing. My XT912 has safestrap and it is always updated, ROM's are great as well. I'm using Carbon rom 4.4.3 on that phone currently. Since I got the Note 2 I've noticed a huge draw back for those that are locked in with MJ9. I'm just surprised on the underwhelming support.

Thanks for the help, I'll contact you!
I'm also on mj9 lb and running n3bula and as far as development with safestrap last I heard the developer didn't have a note 2 to test with he was going off testers reports so it's nice to at least be able to flash some roms even if it's a few it's better then nothing and roms like skynote air added support for safestrap users with lb

After you root your phone.
1. Install safestrap.
2. Create a backup
3. Boot up phone normally. Ensure your backup is saved to your sd card.
4. Restart your phone and go into ss
5. Factory reset your phone. I usually do it twice just in case
6. Select install and choose the n3bula zip. Let it install
7. After installation the screen will change. You'll make selections based on what you prefer for your phone. The important thing is to make sure you select custom installation and stock kernel. Other than that have fun.
8. Wait for the phone to boot. Mine took about 10 minutes.
9. After the phone finally boots into n3bula go through the process of setting up your Google account.
10. Once your Google account is set up hit menu. Go to settings. Change the view to tabbed and turn on air view and air command. Take out the spen and see if it works.
Voilà. You now have a fully functional rom ;)

Same here. I'm flabbergasted on the lack of progress on this device actually.
Hmm, I'm not sure I understand. What is happening on your phone that makes you say that? Folks are willing to help.

Sweet deal. Might have to give it a go. I'll flash back to stock and flash my nandroid of n3bula on rom slot 1 and report back

Am enjoying n3bula thanks to the help from newbroot83! I had a terrible time installing n3bula. The problem was an old safestrap apk.
The one that workded for me is located at https://www.dropbox.com/s/w0vplv41lrhmwj9/Safestrap-T0LTE-3.72-B02.apk

As soon as I get my pay check this week, I'm sending my phone down to Texas to have it out back to stock 4.1.2 with unlocked bootloader. I've read a lot about it and it looks good. For $75.00 is worth it to me to have my unlocked bootloader once again.

Is it necessary to remove the boot.img still? saw some post on here that said it worked for them.

From what I am reading it is a couple week process total from drop off at post office to drop off by mail man. There is an option to faster shipping but I have other phones I can use such as my company phone, so I can wait. As soon as I get it back, I'll let you know how it goes.
I, like a lot of others here, was wondering that if this works, why more haven't tried it. So I took the plunge. It's only a phone, right?
