This tablet combined with lecture notes pro makes for some fun note taking. For any students who were wondering how class notes would look on this, here are my notes taken in class from my differential equations class

Settings used:
Savitzky-Golay Filter set to 7
Pressure sensitivity Enabled on all pencils
Customer Pencils set 34 Clicks from the thinnest
Us Letter Paper Aspect ratio
Medium Ruled Lines

Here is the pdf link if you want to see it in better quality.

Here is a Note I took prior to applying the Savitzky Filter

Could you list all the customization you put into this, I.e. what pencil thickness you used and filters and their settings?

Thank you!

I just use the thicker pens with pressure sensivity enabled. I also have the Savitzky-Golay filter set to 7. For the custom pencils I have the thickness set to 34 (there isnt a number but i just clicked the + button for thickness 34 times from the thinnest)

Will change mine to that! Anything set for opacity and smoothness? Not sure if that makes a difference

What app do you use?

What app did you use? what is the best for Note-taking & what's the best for drawing? I've heard of paper from 53 but it's only for I0s and they don't plan to do anything for Android :(

Well thanks for your time.

I see people recommending Lecture Notes all over the place. Compared to S-Note or Papyrus the writing is not nearly fluid.
If you set the filter lecture notes writes the best out of all them.

Papyrus is to jagged for me and snote writes to thick in landscape. Snote also doesn't let you set the size of the paper. Otherwise I would use snote because the ui is really nice while lecture notes is a little unintuitive for my tastes.

I can't really detect a difference between the two examples. So I googled Savitsky-golay filter and tried to get what it is supposed to do. My head is still spinning f4om all the big words :). Can someone put a simple spin on what this filter should be doing please? Thanks!

Also, your note taking skills are amazing!

The one without the filter looks a little bit more jagged. After you finish a stroke, the filter smoothens its giving it a cleaner look. Atleast thats what it looks like to me lol

and thank you! They have improved significantly since i purchased this tablet. Notes are so much more fun to take now :D

I think the biggest thing is the filter. It took me a while to figure that one out.

Lecturenotes for large notes, and a lot of people like sketchbook (for galaxy specically- download from samsung store). There's another one, i forget the names. Art flow is the other preffered one. I'm not an artist by any means. someone could recommend one over the other.
