Don't know if you're still looking but I remember seeing some links on google today after doing a few minutes of research for my mother. She's getting one for free with a contract and I always looks and review the phones a bit before she gets one. I always try to find her one that I can at least root and install a recovery like CWM or TWRP. I remember several links when searching for verizon samsung j3v root and found a few. One other thing I forgot to add is that I almost always add xda to my google searches because more often than not, someone has already figured out what you need to know. Or do a search here..

Last thing I promise. I didn't mean search in a bad way, some people know to search some don't that's just the way it is so please don't take it the wrong way. I have been on forums before where people get very angry and rude if you don't search first. That doesn't happen so much here but most prefer you to at least be able to show that you've attempted a search. This also helps prevent multiple threads with the same issue. Also add some tags or add solved to the title too if you the above works, or if you post how to do it on you own and post how and or where. Looks like you're new to XDA so let me welcome you to the one of, if not the absolute best community I've found so far concerning android. I came over from Rootzwiki after following the developers for my devices here, as did many others, but I still refer back there occasionally for older stuff. Good luck and again Welcome to XDA!
