Just got the YTF Aramid case from amazon to replace the VRS pro stand case. Wow am I impressed. The fit is perfect and adds no bulk at all. Added one of these cheap kickstands for $6. Works perfectly along with wireless charging. Very happy with this purchase.

More than anything, I need a case that will lay flat for writing with the stylus. It looks like every case has a bump to protect the camera lenses. But, this bump is not balanced on the other corners, which will cause it to teeter back and forth like it does without a case.

Well, if you place the stylus slots on either of the sides, then it'll make the phone wider.

I currently have the Spigen Air Skin (It ads very little bulk to the device.
Find it on Amazon, it's about half off list cost.

My ideal case would hold the spen, but not on the rear of the device. Would have a cover for the front screen (like a folio case). And would have space for credit cards. And also ideally not fake leather, it looks like my Moms wallet.
I know it would end up being about 2 inches thick, but for my use case scenario would be ideal.

So all you case modders out there, I'm joining the club! Finally had it with my official flappy bit S-Pen case. Tried a bunch of aftermarket options but wasn't happy with the fit and finish or branding on any of them. So I got the official silicone cover courtesy of Samsung and my points. Attached my ESR all metal kickstand next to the camera to leave the wireless charging coil exposed. Also I shaved off the channel locking mechanism from the official S-Pen holder and attached that all the way to the side also to leave the charging pad exposed. Still gets in the way of most wireless charging pads but I've got a 1.6" coil that I'm going to use to build my own custom charging stand with a cutout for the pen. Tested it loose and it works fine. And no sloppy super glue here. Kickstand and pen holder are both attached using 3m 300lse tape (the same stuff that holds your screen onto your phone) cut to precise dimensions, with the edge recessed enough that it isn't picking up every stray hair and spec of dust. I scuffed up and prepped both surfaces with primer 94 for better adhesion. The pen holder seems to be made of the same material as the silicone cover so the whole thing (minus the kickstand) looks like an official case. When the phone is unfolded and laid flat, the pen holder acts as a fulcrum to angle the whole thing slightly like a professional drawing tablet, and no rocking. Kickstand can be used to stand the phone while folded or unfolded, both orientations, and can even be used to lay the phone flat unfolded for a nice 30° angle for writing/drawing. Gotta let the 300LSE cure for 24 hours to make a good bond to the silicone.

Nice! I did something similar with the Spigen Slim Armor Pro and the Samsung portfolio cases Pen/holder. I wanted hinge protection, S-Pen slot and a kickstand. The kickstand is the "ESR kickstand" from Amazon & the Pen slot was removed from the Samsung Pen portfolio case which I adhered with J-B plastic weld to the Spigen Slim Armor Pro's hinge. Feels pretty solid, I'm happy with it and wireless charging still works!

Nice and thanks for the pic.

I also ordered a kickstand couple days ago for sticking it on my Aramid case.

I moved my kickstand up near the camera like a couple of you have done with the ESR stand. I do like it better up there. I've also ordered the ESR stand as I like the looks better and it's a touch thinner, but I see that it doesn't open up as wide as this cheap stand.

I ordered one of these a while ago and it finally came in. I got to say I am pretty happy with it especially for the price. Of course it's not the highest quality but it fits just fine and functions precisely how I hoped it would. With the pen inserted it definitely affects wireless charging but if I get it just right it will work. This is a generic unbranded case being sold everywhere online.

Case looks great, but the metal kickstand is right over the charge pad. That can't be good for wireless charging speed.

Trying this one.....due in 3 weeks

Looks interesting, for sure. The hinge cover design looks like it was copied directly from Spigen's similar offering. Unfortunately, it looks like Spigen's version doesn't work very well and a number of Amazon reviewers have shared pics of the hinge flap ripping and/or separating from the case. Hopefully that's not the case (no pun intended) with the model in the link you shared. I'll probably wait until this case, or something similar, pops up on Amazon. While I already have this case (or one of the many clones) without the hinge protection, and I use the back half when I'm going out and don't want to carry my S Pen loose in my pocket, I'd also really like to see a variant of this design that doesn't include three S Pen slot. If the hinge flap isn't complete garbages then I'd buy both, for sure.
Exactly my thinking..........it's relatively cheap and I already have one without the hinge protection so I know the holder works ok, but intrigued by this. Would be interested to maybe see a version with the pen on the side as per the Spigen as well. With the Spigens being £40-70 a pop it's worth looking at these to see what works and what doesn't until I invest

It makes me a little bit suspicious that they don't include any pictures showing how the hinge cover works, or how all the parts fit together.

It's a shame that currently it seems we have to buy two cases to get what we want, but been seeing good and bad on this case...poor finish and misaligned cutouts. Out of stock for a while so will wait a bit and see
Yep its a shame. But it is a working combo for me. So im good.

    On the front part.
The mic hole os off center but still clear path to the mic.

Speaker holes is like a 0.5mm off center. But again clear path to the holes.

Only a small finishing problem i see.
Looks like it was injected on the hinge side and there is a line there. Can be cleaned up with a razor but mine doesnt bother me.

Other then that its nice. Rounded edges, the pen stays put and easy enough to remove and put back in.

Pretty! Does the case (not pouch) have hinge protection, do you know? I can't tell from the pics and it is way too expensive to buy without knowing. My current red leather case has hinge protection. I had to remove the cheap plastic screen protector on the front of it, but there aren't any other cases that are out that I like/work for me, so I'm sticking with this one. It also was $60 and they wouldn't let me return it even before I got rid of the screen protector that came damaged.
No I don't think so. Looking at the side-pictures, you can see the Samsung logo -> no hinge cover. I would say it is pretty much exactly like the original Samsung Leather Case, just for front and back.
But as I really like the variety of colors and leathers, I'll try to get such a case as well and can tell you about my experience later (if desired) (y)

I bought my case and already happy with it, official Samsung Aramid Cover.
Looks good, fits well, finally done for cover display too.

I received a reply from Spigen today and they confirmed that they will be releasing the Thin Fit case with S-Pen storage. No plans for a compatible holster though so I am hoping Encased does one. As of now no date for release only said soon and to keep an eye on their website.

    Good review of cases here

I love Flossy, man does reviews like a human being, it's awesome. Shoes is a great co-host too lol.

    Anyone get the Aramid?
I did. I like the look and feel of it. My only concern is the protection. It is so thin I question its ability to protect the phone if it were dropped. That being said, it will be my daily case until something nice comes out with S Pen support (besides the Samsung Flip one, it's not a good option)

I placed a Ringke pen holder on the back to hold my S Pen.

Personally, I got the Spigen Slim Armor Pro and stuck on a Neon colored Clckr stand small.

This case is overall a good one as it covers the hinge and the stand allows it to stand in portrait and landscape...will update with more photos once I get the phone in a week! (2nd September)
