Samsung note 3 rooting & rom flashing basics

I have been away for a while. Like a year. I wanted to wait to root my note 3 until I had android 5. Now that I do, does qbking's method work for this update? My search hasn't revealed anything yet. Thanks.

I can vouch that qbkings method still works. I odin'd back to stock nk4 and took the ota to lollipop. Then relatively rooted using qbkings method. I am rooted and have twrp on my device.

I'm on NC5. If I'm understanding correctly, I can't flash a rom that is Nk4? From the little I've gathered in other threads, this is the process I think I need to take:
Do a factory reset (through phone options in backups and recovery ?)
Odin - flash Nk4 rom
Odin - flash custom recovery
Custom recovery - wipe and flash custom rom based on Nk4

Am I going about this correctly?
