Samsung Note 8 and MacAfee problem

I did a very silly thing and activated MacAfee security software on my note 8 running Android 9. It now wants to remove an important App that controls my house alarm system. There is no way I can add this to a safe list, or deactivate MacAfee, and have tried lots of suggestions without any success. I am looking at a hard reset as the only solution.
Anyone any suggestions, any suggestion would be much appreciated.

I'd suggest contacting MacAfee support to report it as a false positive.

Yeah. You would need to contact McAfee about this issue.
