can somebody port Samsung based roms from samsung Galaxy on5(2016) or Galaxy c5(2016) variants......
This devices have Snapdragon 617 processor...
Hence, i thought that port would be possible..
and one more thing i would like to mention is that even blackberry dtek50 also has Snapdragon 617 chipset.. blackberry devices.. might be very secure than other android devices in market.. hence.. it is also worth to consider for porting.. i feel..

can someone do this

please do comment what you people think of this.. :highfive:

Security begins in your head. And I agree, I personally don't want crappie bloated Samsung rom. I think people bought g4 primary for the stock feeling. And that blackberry is secure... That was beyond android based os. The new os isn't worth it.
but as far as I know blackberry dtek50 hai android in it.. which might have been customised till its core by blackberry to make it the most secure android device.. i feel..
Thanks for your comment..

well i do like stock rom.. but i would like to use port rom rather than a custom rom like lineage os.. since they consume a lot of battery.. and are less stable.. and are very buggy.. :p
You are right in that, but partially.

The firsts builds of CyanogenMod 14.0 / LineageOS 14.1 were pretty unstable for a most long period, if we take CyanogenMod 13.0 as our last comparation subject, CM 13 was unstable just the firts two months, after that, worked very fine in the majority of the devices (officially supported ones).

But LineageOS suffered from having more codebase troubles (not only device specifically issues). It's very understandable because Nougat brought several script changes, which devs had to adapt to his sources.

And don't forget all the thing of moving to a new servers when CyanogenMod ceased to exist and became LineageOS, all this slowed the development.

But now, the LOS based roms are very very (sincerely) stable, i will recommend you to try the followings (all LOS based):

InvictaOS
Resurrection Remix
AOKP
LineageOS 14.1
