Hi guys

Could i get some advice from you... when i try these codes they fail? I'm not sure if i'm doing something wrong?

I enter the code e.g. *#1234# into the dial pad and press dial button...
A dialog pops up with the text
"ussd code running"
then another dialog pops up with the test....
"Connection problem or invalid MMI code"

Has anyone come across this problem?

When i enter *#06# for the imea number i don't even have to press dial it just pops up a dialog with the imea number immediately after entering the last #

Any help would be much appreciated

i am guessing you are using a third party dialer?

you need to use the original samsung dialer to get these to work :D

No result from code means either its not a SGS2 code but a SGS1 code usually .

Or the code is not relevant to your model .
Or like GPS code is so far none functioning .

THEN [1]HANDSET..you will see different volume by default 94, click that what you want to change and input 100 by hitting hard key at bottom.. will give you INPUT option

I hope that helps

Think he meant the headset volume, not the handset one?
But here's a pic where to change it I guess? Confirmation would be great!
(notice I've changed the volume from 80something to 96)

Doesn't seem to change anything tho... :(

perfect, mrfreddan, I think we also have to change the TX and RX volume, I have old Samsung I8910 and that's what I had to change on that phone. I will try it and let you know result. The volume on SGS 2 is way too low for me. But thank you guys both....

    OK here we go:

    You need:
    - tasker
    - secure plugin

Made an autostart profile and set an alarm after 40sec "Headset Volume" (after 40sec because system and media scanner should settle down bevor the task can kick in):
    Code:
    Profile: Anon (8)
    	Event: Device Boot
    Enter: Anon (9)

    Task: Anon (9)
            A1: Wait [MS:0 Seconds:40 Minutes:0 Hours:0 Days:0]
    	A2: Notify [Title:Headset Text:Change Volume! Icon:<icon> Number:0 Permanent:On]

then made an task "Headset Volume"; the configuration for the secure settings should like this:
    Code:
    Run Command:
    input keyevent 82
    input keyevent 20
    input keyevent 20
    input keyevent 66
input text 512115100 -> The last numbers are the volume! in this case 100; change it if you want!
    input keyevent 20
    input keyevent 21
    input keyevent 66
    input keyevent 82
    input keyevent 66

    check use root

    The task Volume:
    Code:
    Task: Headset Volume (98)
    	A1: Call [Number:*#*#197328640#*#* Auto Dial:Off]
    	A2: Wait [MS:0 Seconds:3 Minutes:0 Hours:0 Days:0]
    	A3: Secure Settings [Configuration:input (Root)]
    	A4: Wait [MS:0 Seconds:5 Minutes:0 Hours:0 Days:0]
    	A5: Go Home [Page:0]
    	A6: Notify Cancel [Title:Headset Warn Not Exist:Off]

And a profile for click the notification on the taskbar:

    Code:
    Profile: Anon (99)
Event: Notification Click [ Owner Application:* Title:Headset ]
    Enter: Headset Volume (98)

After you have done this you will get after a reebot and 40sec a notification "Headset Volume"
wait till system settles down and you can click that and tasker will dial into the service menu and enter into submenu 5-1-2-1-1-5 for headset volume number 5 and enter there the volume 100 saved it and revert back to homescreen and delete the notification icon.
