Samsung Smart Alert alternative (Request)

Hello all,
I am a huge fan of SGS3's "Smart Alert" feature which vibrates the phone when picked up from the surface if you have any missed calls or unread messages. Since, I don't use stock ROM now and have switched to PACman, I wanted to know whether is there any alternative so that I can use this feature on custom ROMs not having this feature.
One way I can think of is having a Tasker task (not sure whether it'll work) . So please suggest an app that does this.

A useful app which will alert you when you have a missed call or an unread message.
Never miss a call or message now.
