But are you running Stock Froyo or something? :OI got offered to update my red lensed Defy with that 2.3.6 update. Can I just do it with the OTA update or is it gonna cause some trouble and I should go with walter's update ? Thanks![]()

then the CM9 works but impossible to reinstall the CM7 I am going to make with her(it) cm9 and to wait for the stake has in the daytime that to stay with that of the defy +
well for install the cm9 root you phone with http://www.filesonic.fr/file/4092555...555145?start=1 and install 2ndinit rebbot and dont make wipe just install the zip and the gasp..reboot and after Remove the battery and reboot in recovery and then choose stable recovery and apply full wipe and wipedalvik
If we make a wipe before it shows error messages and in the boot we fall again on the bootloader
Don't update. You will lose downgradeabilityI'm running stock gingerbread 2.3.4 4.5.1_134 DFP 74 for Defy+![]()
Fully useless i think, i ve fully restored my NAND at the state before the backup (all partitions md5sums checked) and even after this, there is no way to boot or to reinstall an "old" sbf.Downgrade TEST
I build a froyo fixed sbf with cg31.smg version 6.
Try this.
1. restore a froyo 2.2.2 nandroid (system only)
2. flash FROYO-fixed-CG31-version-6.sbf
This fix based on shadows idea. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14762402&postcount=143
hi,buddyFully useless i think, i ve fully restored my NAND at the state before the backup (all partitions md5sums checked) and even after this, there is no way to boot or to reinstall an "old" sbf.
That means something is set elsewhere, maybe in another chip like the phone or in another eeprom

I shall want to contituner to exploit(run) this idea...Hi there!
I think I've found a way to downgrade it, but I need someone to test, since I don't want to lock my phone.
So let's go...
- Root your phone and install Defy 2ndInit 2.0, BootMenu 1.0.7 (Latest Version).
- Download the following file: http://ul.to/kalqzsn2
- Extract the folder "backtofroyo" inside your "clockworkmod/backup" folder.
- Boot into CWM and perform a full wipe.
- Then choose Advanced Restore, select the backup of the Froyo Rom you want back, and select Restore system. (You may also restore your data partition if you want)
- Now, also inside Advanced Restore, choose "backtofroyo" and restore recovery and boot too.
- Once it's done reboot your pressing VolUP so that you enter programming mode.
- Open RSDLite and flash the Fixed SBF inside the file you've downloaded, named backtofroyo.sbf.
If everything goes well you should reboot into Froyo; at least the very same idea worked for me to go back from Froyo to Eclair. Hope it helps!![]()

for install the kernel DOWNLOAD QUARX 07-12 BOOT BUILD HERE : http://www.megaupload.com/?d=OC1RABID - Defy+ Users using 2.3.6 need to backup the "boot" before and restore it after the zip install, and before the reboot

we can install the cm7 for defy + to http://defy-cm.net/ but the camera dont work![]()
