[SBF]BL6&Froyo sbf!!! We can now use froyo kernel and green lense camera with bl6

This is indeed great news.... so we can flash a full sbf of 2.3.6 and also revert back to 2.2.2 by flashing this full sbf and reflash stock froyo
i doubt the "then reflash stock froyo" part.
stock froyo has lower BL version, which mean you can't flash it anymore after flash higher BL version.
am I right guys?

Correct, you won't be able to flash a full froyo sbf but you will be able to install the froyo kernel (boot/devtree) of this sbf via recovery on if you have a v6 BL . At least that's my understanding.

But then it might be possible to restore a nandroid backup of the "stock" /system partition and whatever other partition is required (if it was created earlier) after rooting and installing 2nd init on this froyo bl6 rom right?
In effect, a fixed SBF of your stock ROM will probably do, like someone says here:

this new magic sbf, or previous official stock froyo SBF released on 2011?
as far as i know, stock official froyo has lower BL version than this... maybe I'm wrong though.. cmiiw.
when we need to claim the warranty, we need to be as stock as possible..
but this magical sbf at least helps people who accidentaly flash defy+ rom which has higher BL version and cannot tastes froyo kernel anymore..
just like what Epsylon3 been trough before his defy dead not so long ago..
that's why he created cm7 and cm9 with gingerbread kernel after that.
and now i think he got the new defy already, because now he create cm9 with froyo kernel.

this is stock froyo with bl6 realesed @china for one of their phone operator, probably later than the rest did... as it's official from moto so... should work normally but there is still no way to flash the lower BL sbf.... at last cam is working ;p and all cm7/9/miui froyo kernel stuff should too ;p

Maybe the bl in this sbf is unlocked. Try Flashing full sbf then flash custom kernel. If I don't make any sense just ignore my post.

But an unsigned kernel exists. Look at first post, it has been updated with some interesting test suggestions
but I think it is highly unlikely that kernel sign checking had been disabled... Will have to wait for someone to test I guess Sent from my MB525 using XDA App
hey guys. I successfuly flashed sbf and I`m currenty running CM9 with froyo kernel (had 2.3.6 o2.DE BL6 before).
The SBF it self is full of bloatwear, annoying chinese animation at the start of the phone. It looks like european or american froyo but it`s different in looks. font is bigger, and home menu is little different.
I wouldn`t suggest this rom for usage only for flashing custom rom`s based on froyo kernel.
