works perfectly

I mistakingly installed the leaked UCKJ1 and wasn't able to reset counter with Jig. I loaded your UCKH7 bootloader with Odin. Just took a few seconds. Worked perfect. Counter back to "NO".
THANK YOU

I suggest a sticky on this one, too. I have a feeling a few more folks will run into this.

I tried but I get the "some files can't be moved error". Which requires you to backup your hdd and reformat the drive. Which I don't have a big enough external to do so right now. I even tried VMs. My computer is deathly slow if I run anything above general use. I need more ram to run those VMs.

The issue is Apple used internal USB hubs, which aren't compatible with the type of communication needed for ODIN\HEIMDAL in some models (primarily MacBook, MacBook Pro, and iMac). I have this issue with my mid-2010 iMac, and it just can't do the necessary job flashing in HEIMDALL, or even ODIN (in boot camp). It's an internal hardware issue w\ Mac not the configuration or drivers.

I have a 2011 MacBook Air that works fine for it, so I use that when I need to do any flashing or ADB work from the computer. Seems like Apple adjusted the type of USB interfaces on the 2011 models, but prior it's fairly hit or miss.

You probbly never flashed any of the newer kj1, kj2 or kj4 builds that did away with jig functionality.
Nope, I don't flash things that have zero benefit to the user. People tend to flash modems when there is no technical advantage to doing so. Why would I flash a modem that removes control from my device? Where's the upside?

Let me just upgrade my phone to a 12 year old phone without a camera while I'm at it. Some people have the idea that every build that leaks is a must-get. Did we learn nothing from Windows Vista?

Well since most custom ROMS are based on a stock ROM and if I test the stock ROMS and decide for myself whitch stock ROM has the fewest bugs. I can make a more informed decision on the custom ROM I want to flash.

That defies logic of using someone's ROM. The developers are more in tune to what's "best"... so they tend to know more than their average user. If you're choosing a rom based on the stock rom you like best, you might as well keep the stock ROM. Because the massive changes the developer makes to stock usually negates the positive\negative experience you may have with any stock rom, hence why they CHANGE things. A better idea would be to try all the custom roms, and decide which you like. But hey, some people live their life backwards, lol

Dude! Are you calling me backwards? Your recent posts have a know it all and smart a$$ attitude which is not helpful to the community. At least your command of the obvious right thing to do and righteous judgment passing do not help me.
I dunno, my thanks-count is 4x as many as you so I guess someone finds my banter useful.

Anyhow, yeah, I called your *mindset* backwards.

I do appreciate you reading my recent posts. Hit the THANKS button since you seem to be using them as free entertainment, please.

Best.

I was only speaking of the recent posts in this thread. Those post do not inspire me to read your other preaching’s and ranting’s.

Now that you mention it your thanks ratio is 32.57 posts per thanks. My ratio is 7.30, which just proves how unhelpful you really are. But hey you brought it up.

If I were not OP I would not bother sparing with a troll. it just lowers my post to thanks ratio.

Hey, once the IBL+PBL is released make sure to add it to this thread or delete this thread completely.

It's NEVER safe to flash a SBL without a IBL+PBL, PARAMS and repartitioning.

This thread is helpful for now, but as soon as the IBL+PBL boot.bin file is released, make sure to add it to the first post or this thread will cause a lot of bricks.

I'm not being a ****, I'm just looking out because this has happened in the past quite a few times.

Question: I know this is a Skyrocket question, but is there a secondary bootloader tar either for/that that can be used on, he Skyrocket that will allow me to reset the flash counter back to NO like this one did for my on the SGSII?

The base DOES make a difference, take the battery issues and all with the 2.3.6. But that's not always the case. So you're both kinda right. But ultimately the devs change enough that it makes or breaks the ROM. Could be a great base and the dev could totally jack it up. Or a total crap base that they fix and turns out awesome.
