Personally have only tried JT's and have got to say this is the best my phone has run in a while. Just got off a day and a half of battery, everything works that I need to work, GPS insta-locks, MMS send and receive works. On build 2 with stock everything.

which one works best for you?
now im using sbrissen's aosp jb with the newest devil kernel and ive removed a few system apps that i dont use, i personally like the look & feel of aosp jb. its simple yet, fun & it fits me
now dont get me wrong, i do like the customization of aokp and somewhat of cm10, but i can bybass that with aosp and im loving it all together. ive been using the rom since early afternoon yesterday :)

CM10 has custom lockscreen shortcuts where AOKP has customizable battery bar. AOSP is plain but good (just like teh Nexus 7). Devil kernels make em more faster and buttery but no GPS.

JT posted the following over in rootzwiki. TEST Kernel Compass_OldGCC.zip
" It was compiled using the older gcc 4.4.3 toolchain rather than the default gcc 4.6 compiler that jellybean uses. Please let me know if you try it and still experience any radio crashes. "

along with a kernel compass_oldgcc.zip

I also have problems with aokp and helly bean in regards to compass being off and GPS being off.

The above kernel fixed the compass and GPS problems on JT's cm_10_unofficial_fasicnate JB ROM.

I've tried 4 or 5 JB ROMS based off of CM10. all have the compass and GPS problems.

JTs cm_10_unofficial with his compass_oldgcc.zip kernel is the first I've found with working compass and GPS.

thanks.

Good info, thanks. I've been bouncing between Helly bean and jt's cm10, tried sbrissen´s aosp but realized I was missing some cm10 mods.

I just noticed the GPS/compass oddness you mention today, so I'll check out this fix too.

Fyi, a performance test for me is to see if the npr app can progress through items in a play list while I'm out for a run... after I start it playing and press the power button to turn the screen off, play usually stops at the end of a segment. I "wake" the phone by pressing the power button again, and play often resumes. Better ROM / kernel combos will play through a full play list...

I'm pretty sure that the NPR app isn't particularly well-behaved in this respect, but it works ok on stock gb and on ics ms6 with glitch default settings.

While walking today, Helly bean was getting hung up on play list transitions, so I switched to jt's cm10 - I forgot to wipe after making a nandroid of the Helly bean image, but the dirty flash to cm10 seems to be working fine!

Surprised at this because of the /datadata difference, but there you go...

Was running HELLYBEAN, latest test update gave me terrible fc problems. Browsers constantly fc. Became too unstable for my everyday use. AOKP , although I had great success on ICS M6, also had too many issues . On jt's CM10 UNOFFICIAL now and must say my device runs very fast and smooth with no FC's or problems at all. :)
Very much appreciate ALL the DEVS hard work !:thumbup::thumbup:
