The scatter file is from k5 note A7020a48_S312_160926_ROW = 6.0.1
Does it work for 5.1 ? If yes, I'll flash it now.

Tried flashing it with Flashify and Official TWRP App but didn't work.

If you want to flash custom recovery then bootloader need to unlocked.
Are you sure Ashwinrg because as in my previous device(lenovo a7000) I flashed custom recovery using sp flash tool with out unlocking the bootloader.
Further if you have any suggestions for rooting k5 note pls tell me. I will be very thankful to you.

I am sure flashing custom recovery needs unlocked bootloader. Have you checked your Lenovo a7000 bootloader status after flashing custom recovery.
Still no methods available for unlocking bootloader and root for Lenovo k5 note and no custom recovery available for k5 note
I think we can install custom recovery using mtk tool. Although this app requires root. You can get root access on Android5.1 via kingroot. Try this method hope this will work
I don't think so but I didn't try it. Mtk droid tools doesn't work for my device.
