Soo I was just using the continuums amazing ticker to get my morning news from a now working, built in rss client... (Engadget)

And samsung is about to drop a LTE
phone with a damn hardware KEYBOARD and ship it with GINGERBREAD!

yup hardware number SCH-I405...

I'm pretty sure this had alot to do with why our phone was left in BigReds poopile...

Oh yeah... samsung stratosphere is the name

The Continuum was "dumped" because it had below subpar sales figures. The I405 will likely be equally poor IMO as hardware keyboards are becoming less and less needed as on-screen keyboards get better and better. Also, if the phone launches with 2.2, which it likely will, who is going to want it? Also, given the number of other, better phones that have been in the news recently, who is going to want last years technology with LTE?

I agree its just a waste of their time... I'm more curious about this droid/Nexus prime or whatever... there was a report of that shipping with ice cream sandwich in oct

I'd say it's coming out around the same time the Nexus S did last year, sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Hopefully, they don't miss the holiday season.
