Screen cracked while watching move. Help please!

Last night I had my phone plugged into the charger and was watching a movie. About an hour and a half into the movie I noticed what I thought was a hair on the screen and picked up the phone to get rid of it. The phone was extremely hot and what a thought were hairs were actually 2 cracks in the glass. Before I call Verizon I am hoping to find out if anyone else has had this type of problem with the Razr/Razr Maxx. Any comments and/or links to pages related to the problem would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure it is possible for the heat from the phone to have caused it. The phone would have fried itself before it would have gotten hot enough for that to be an issue.

I think you are going to be hard pressed to prove your case...

I know it will be hard to prove, if it didn't happen right before my eyes I might not believe it either. Are there any reports of thermal expansion issues with the Razr Maxx battery like some iphones reportedly had?

UPDATE:
Turned on my phone for the first time since the screen cracked. As soon as it booted up I got a thermal warning and the phone shut off. I called Verizon, explained to the tech what happened and after a few minutes on hold he came back to tell me that I would receive a replacement no later than Thursday. I almost fell off my chair in shock. Score one for Verizon customer service. :) :) :)
