Hi guys,

Received my new watch today... working fine for now but I didn't charge it yet so I will report back in a couple of days...

I recorded a video with my phone showing the problem before send it back to Amazon to prevent any problem with them... Video is uploading to my g+ right now, I must be able to post it to youtube then.

I also have the screen flickering problem. I got the watch for Christmas and it was fine for the first couple of weeks. I then got the first flickering after taking my watch off the charger one morning. I rebooted it and it solved the issue, but ever since then it's suffered from the flickering every time it charges - sometimes when it goes on the charger, always when it comes off.

I've now realised that if I just leave it for 5-10 minutes then the problem disappears until the next charge. Frustrating but I can live with it. Hopefully a software update will address this bug.

Try install "SWApp True Dark" and put the watch on dark mode when it charge.

flicking when fully charged, clears after 5 minutes. again had the watch for xmas this started maybe 2-3 days ago.

have been considering getting a replacement, but will hold out for a fix (I'm a little attached to it now. )

The flickering has gone away since i deinstalled some watchfaces and "Battery Stats". The watch works now fine for some weeks without flickering. I think its not a hardwarebug.

Quick update:

I dont have any thirdparty watchface apps or battery stats etc. also last night i put the watch on the bedside but didn't put it on charge got up this morning to a flickering screen with the watch on 26% so perhaps not linked to the watch being fully charge

I am on my third LG G R, and this one (after 4 months) does not show the flickering and no snowcrash also.
I agree with one of the previous posters that it is probably a loose connector that causes this problem.

Watch maker app

I've had my G watch R for a couple of months, no problems. Then I installed facer last week, and started using a custom watch face. The first time I finished charging the watch with a custom face I saw this flickering problem. I uninstalled facer, switched back to the skymaster watch face, and have not had the problem since. As I have not been using the watch any differently (no dropping or hitting, strong changes in temperature, moisture etc.), I strongly suggest that custom watch face making apps such as Facer, Intellicom, Watchmaker etc. are responsible for the issue, rather than hardware.

I have watchmaker installed but i only get the flickering after charging it in sunlight so far, normally I charge with no direct sunlight on the watch and I don't get the problem.

I use watchmaker and custom watchfaces.
This is one of the reasons why i bought this watch.
I never had the flickering issue , so i don't think that custom faces something have to do with it.

Ok. Lg R is an awesome watch and I will buy it but this problem with flickering screen seems to be big. Is there a hardware problem or software or a bad face watch problem. Is this issues persist in any app or only in dim standby mode? Is a general problem or is for one model. Anyone has this issues and manage to solve it?

I'm confused. This flickering efect appear only after clock is fully charged and last only cuple of minutes, or this effect last until restart of device. After restart start again or only after you recharge 100%. Have you tried to charge only 99% to see if effect is present?
