One time mine flicked at 42% bat and other time at 26%.

No link with the battery charge but for time where the watch was screen off and only with some face app.

I have flicking effect 2 time but nothing for maybe 8 at 10 weeks. It is more a face and screen off problem.

Never see flick when using face wich control brighness or control with "SWApp True Dark".

same issue

I'm suffering from the same issues after a nights charge. Serious flickering and screen distortion/corruption for in increasing length of time. Usually only on bright face, but not exclusively. It started about 6 days after purchase, then was consistent on the following 4 days, though getting worse and lasting longer each time, from 10 mins up to about 1 hr. Amazon are sorting a replacement, however LG should really make some comment on this.

Does flicker:
Software version: 5.0.2
Build number: LWX49K
Serial starting with: 411KPGS0112XXX

Note: On version 5.0.1 flicker was present too.

(Sorry for my english)
Well, in what situations it happen?
-When it's cold, or too hot (for example, power it on, on a cold night like 2ºC, or power it on, in a hot environtment. It already happened in this 2 situations, but not all the time. 2 on cold nights, 1 after having the watch near a hot air font)
-When battery is like under 10% or 100% and in this 2 situations, more than one time, was after a power on. and two with Theatre mode on. Happened probably 3 ou 4, in almost 3 months of use.

Facts:
-Since version 5.0.2 only happened 1 time and was after a theatre mode on to off..
-I use the always on feature except in cinemas or identical situations.
-Brightness is always set to 1. Always.

How do I fix the flicker situation when it happen?
No, reboot doesn't work. What I always make is simple: since i can't ''read'' the screen, i go to my phone deactivate the always on option, and let them be with screen off for a few 5 minutes, and then, voila, it works normally.
Note that my flickering screen is almost when I power on my watch, and rarely after a teather mode was set to off.

Hope my testimonial helps. I will send him for service, soon, but like I said, in 3 months, happened a few times, and with 5 minutes i can solve de problem.

After a month of owning this watch, I have experienced this issue for the first time. The only thing that I changed on the watch was to set it as Always On Screen. I just left it on the charger for a while and came back to see the screen was off so I picked up the watch off the charger and saw the screen turn on and start flickering white. The charge was only at 73% and I don't use any custom faces. Never experienced this problem on 5.01 or 5.02 up until I changed to Always On Screen.

Does flicker

Does flicker:
Software version: 5.0.2
Build number: LWX49K
Serial starting with: 411KPVH0102927
Bought: Saturday March 21 2015 @mediamarkt Heerlen the Netherlands

On my second day of use....after charging i left it in the dock only to found out it started to flicker after a 2 hours... very heavy interfearence...flicker and/or snow...operation not possible because I couldn't see what to do...after a few minutes i was able to get somewhat of screen, enough to start a:
reboot --> no effect flicker still the same
Reset Decive--> no effect flicker still the same...
After like 10..15 minuts it was back to normal, been using the watch the whole day without problem..
It's like there is an overheating issue when charging..or something like a to high output voltage of the battery when it is over charged, in a way it effects the display???

Grr. I expected so much more of this device...should have gone with the Moto360

The flickering issue went away on my watch after three to four weeks or so. I cannot send my watch back anymore because I cannot reproduce the problem.
I could prevent the issue by not keeping it on the charger once it was fully charged. I only charged it for one hour each morning.

I now love my GWR. Everytime I see those ugly flat tyre Moto 360 watchfaces I'm glad I choose the full circle GWR. After installing the Watchmaker app the sky became the limit for this watch.

BTW. You can reboot your watch by (really) long pressing the button on the side. Keep it pressed until you see the LG logo (about 10 sec) and it will reboot. Keeping it pressed even longer powers it off.

I have an important update: today the flicker accured with only 25% charge left and without being in the charger, however, it was in the theater mode, after waking it up from this mode , the flicker was back....so this time not related to charging..... could it be that the charging puts the watch in theater mode as well? Maybe the whole problemis theater mode and not the charging.... anyone made tbe same discovery...let us know!

Also, i contacted LG Netherlanda today about the flicker.... they took notes and will get bacm to me with an answer....keep you posted

Could very well be related to the watching automatically going into screen off mode when idle with the Screen-on Always option enabled and then coming back on The second time this issue happened to me was when it wasn't charging but was lying flat on a table for a while, which it turned its screen automatically after about an hour or so.

Does Flicker

My LG Watch R:

Does flicker:
Software version: 5.0.2
Build number: LWX49P
Serial starting with: 412KPED0176172

I have also found:

1) It flickers if I leave it off the wrist for >2hrs (approx)
2) If I charge the phone to full, power off overnight and then power it on again.
3) If I uninstall all the Apps and charge it over night

Typically the flickering lasts for 15 mins and then it is fine.

Anyone found a resolution as yet? I have contacted LG support to see if this is a defective unit and if they can replace it.

Flickering started when using a non-LG AC adapter

Software ver: 5.0.2
Serial number: 41KPJP009XXXX
Build number: LWX49K
Mine started flickering when I used a different charger other than the one it came with. The flickering would eventually go away once the battery discharged a bit. I put it back on the LG AC adapter and it hasn't done it since. Hope this helps.

It's nothing to do with charging.
If the screen is off for a long while (charging or not wearing the watch). It comes on flickering.
I now use the wear charging widget to keep the screen on while charging and the problem has gone away unless I take the watch off for another reason.
Might take the back off and check the connections to see if it makes a difference.

My GWR screen flicker sometimes.

Software version: 5.0.2
Serial: 411KPUU0078870
N. build: LWX49K

I noticed that my screen flicks when it is on cinema mode for more than 7h. When I switch on the screen, It flicks for about 5 minutes, than It stops to flick.

Since I switched to using only WatchMaker faces, I haven't been getting any more flickering. Before when I was using the Suit face by LG, I would get this issue once in a while. Though I should add that when using WM faces, I add a dark translucent overlay on top of the watch face to lower the ambient brightness even more.

Now mine too

Mine just started doing it :( - i've owned it for 7 days.

I've installed Facer and Watch Maker but I don't use them. My main face is Pujie Black (I love it).

My serial is : 503KPNY0205xxx, version 5.0.2.

It does it whenever the face blanks for a long time (it does this automatically at night and when at 100% charged).

It seems as though the problem is really annoying but in reality fairly benign, I hope it doesn't get any worse. :fingers-crossed:

I wonder if it's solved in the Urbane? Apparently it uses the exact same OLED display.

I'll add that mine just started to flicker as well... Installed and used sleep as android last night to track sleep, which meant I didn't put it on the charger which activates "wear charging widget", and now I have the flicker... I'll also add that it was in theater mode all night. :/ Hopefully it corrects itself as others have mentioned, so far mine is still flickering.

My watch started flickering a week after purchase. It would start after having watch on cinema mode overnight.

Had watch replaced within the 14day return period. New one seems good so far (apart from the scratches on the black surface)
