Yesterday I took my watch from lg service. They only upgraded the software (honestly they downgraded from 5.0.2 to 5.0.1). I put my watch on its base overnight and this morning...it doesn't blink, miracle. I'll monitor it in the next few days, but at the moment all is ok. It upgrades to 5.1.1

Mine developed the flicker about 2 weeks ago after owning it for 3 months. Already in the process of sending back my G2 for warranty work due to the dreaded dead zone issue and this will soon be following. My take on it is it looks like the screen is flashing as the drive is being read from, just like the red led on your desktop or laptop. Only has happened for me when waking from sleep (off the wrist for an extended period of time with the screen off) or after being turned off (sporadically, but seems more prevalent when battery is at 25% or lower).

I'm running Leedroid's ROM with no flickering, but before that had absolutely no flickering at all on stock.
That being said, I put my watch into Cinema mode every night while charging (double click side button) to switch the screen off.
Just thinking, maybe some kind of static electricity build-up overnight? From what I've read, it does only seem to happen when it's being taken off of the charger.

5.0.2

It's nothing to do with charging.
If the screen is off for a long while (charging or not wearing the watch). It comes on flickering.
I now use the wear charging widget to keep the screen on while charging and the problem has gone away unless I take the watch off for another reason.
Might take the back off and check the connections to see if it makes a difference.
Had the watch for 2 weeks and started getting the flickering issue 4 days ago. Tried this app last night and no flickering. I'll keep an eye out to see if it comes back but this seems to be the issue (at least in my case). Thanks!

Does flicker:
Software version: 5.1.1
Build number: LDZ22D
Serial starting with: 412KPYR0172XXX

Running LeeDroid V2 Urbane port

The flickering is over most of the screen and happens when it is switched on in the morning after been charged the evening before and switched off over night.
It doesn't matter which charger is used, the OEM, a PC or phone.
It comes back a couple of days after a factory reset.
It starts as soon as the LG logo appears, so can't be linked to any added software or settings on the watch as the OS has not had a chance to start.
It must be a firmware or hardware problem

LG Urbane - Flickering after display has been off for a while
Build : MEC23G
Serial : 504KPED0049xxx
Software : 6.0.1

My Strobe Light is definitely activated by having the display off for a while which would support the theory of a loose connection somewhere. If I leave mine on "Always on" I do not have the problem. I sleep track so usually charge in the morning while getting ready for work. I may pull the back cover one day because it sure would be nice to have the option to kill the display.
