I have Facebook but these days I only really use it when someone sends me a link to check out, usually Facebook marketplace. I do use Facebook messenger to chat to a few friends, or send pictures/videos instead of over text... Neither of them drains the battery when I'm not using it. Same with Instagram. I got rid of Snapchat a while back because I never use it but I don't think I was having any issues with it either.
I never notice anything showing up in my usage that shouldn't be there.
Lol trust me, Facebook isn't going to come up. But it's wasting your battery believe me..
I get links from people too and I don't have an account and I can read things, make a book mark in your browser for FB, bare in mind you'll be getting rid of two apps this way, FB and the messenger, plus any lower level deployment settings for FB (use titanium or an uninstaller for that )
I got rid of FB years back, then I made an account just to save progress on a crappy game I was playing..
Fake name
Non identifying email address
No mobile
Didn't allow access to contacts
Didn't allow access to location
Didn't give Facebook any information at all and blocked all permissions possible whilst still being able to use the game sync.
Didn't post on FB at all with account.
FB started emailing me with suggestions of people who I actually know. How? How did they when I allowed nothing and used a fake name, email and no number.
Facebook is very very dodgy, you are the product remember.
My advice, get rid.
