It's amazing how much we actually use our phones in a given day, especially when we watch "videos"! Rate this thread to express how many hours of screen-on time you can get on the Huawei Nexus 6P before depleting the battery.

Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!

First complete day ended yesterday 27 hours off the charger 5 hour 26 minutes screen on time (Somewhat light user, lots of messing with the phone installing apps customizing and have gReader pulling down about a 1000 articles a day, reading through all the headlines and diving into about a quarter for more. No calls and light texting maybe 40 messages)

This is amusing. I've had the phone for about a week. Not more than 3 hour to 330 on average use. Once I got 4hours+ but that was when I had the phone mainly on WiFi + aeroplane mode since the mobile signal was weak.

I have no idea how someone could get 5h30min screen time on this phone. (Maybe with screen just on while doing nothing on the phone?)

It has a huge battery so I'm all for blaming Google the stupidity of a 2K screen wasting power.. When iphones with HD display looks gorgeous too. I've no other reason to think of.. My brightness is usually at 20% or so but even then... Almost same as my nexus 5 ..marginally better. But I was expecting a lot more.

I've had the phone since Tuesday and have been getting 4+ SOT consistently. Still trying to figure out ways to optimize battery life, but overall I'm happy. Way better than my S6.

5 hrs SOT with about 1 hour of playing asphalt at 60% brightness, mostly on wifi, google now enabled, brightness range from 20% to 60%., 2 emails synced and refreshes constantly (I get about 40 emails per day).

Without playing Asphalt 6-6.5 hrs SOT.

8:55 SOT, wifi only(radios active but Fi service is not activated yet), mostly texting/messing with phone/couple hours of wifi calls, 20-30% brightness on average, very few apps installed. Battery lasted 16 hours total on that charge(was first full charge since I got phone, ran it down to 5%)

When I use it on a mix of Wi-Fi and 3G/4G I get about 4 hours SOT, on Wi-Fi only I get about 6 hours SOT. I always have bluetooth/wear and location on and brightness set at approx 40%. I'm really impressed, especially with doze ?

would you ssay the kernel improved batt? or is it just for root? my nexus comes tomorrow
I honestly couldn't tell you. I flashed immediately lol. Doesn't seem that any battery improvements have been included though. Just an early release kernel that I mainly installed for tweaking colors
