Why is screen on time such a good battery life indicator? What if you are streaming music, podcast or downloading stuff? You're screen is off no? Do people only use their phones to stare at the screen and use that as the gospel of battery life indicator? Why wouldn't you must measure off charger to back on charger time over a week's usage?

What? SOT is the most important thing... If you always use your phone 5-6 hours a day. U need such SOT... if you get only 3 you will need a 1 charge a day :) For my 5-6 SOT is all I need. Still amazed some ppl get even 7-10 hours SOT.

I can get 7 hrs too if I lower the brightness to zero. For me 100% off charger at 7am and 25% back on charger a little before midnight with auto brightness at 50% all services running downloading stuff, reading stuff, watching stuff, texts, email, messaging and etc. Now thats actual usage and measurement.

I've managed about 17hrs SOT on my Note 5 once*

*Attatched to a battery pack lol
using the phone while charging at the same time was precisely the cause of battery bloat in my samsung note 4 :crying:

have since sold it off after finding the zerolemon 10000mAh monster battery too big for daily usage, even though battery life was imba
first battery cycle i still remembered i started at ard 6.30pm on Mon, the battery finally died on Fri morning slightly before 11am, with varying usage from sparse to heavy usage on different days. can't remember total screen on time but it was definitely > 12hrs

am using leagoo shark 1 (6300mAh) as main phone now, with innos D6000 (6000mAh) as spare.

wow, that's amazing!
what apps have u got?
what apps and settings do u use to limit battery drain/usage?

I don't know how these phone reviewers on youtube say they are able to achieve more than 5-6 hours of SOT of heavy/aggressive usage (on any flagship phone). I'm always struggling to reach 4 hours of regular SOT

So far I have been able to achieve 17 hours since last charge, 3hr 15min of SOT at 18%

Now that I think about it. I realized that I have been starting to care less and less about screen on time. Just give me a phone that can last me all day.

Standby time is 10x more important for me than achieving 4+ hours of SOT
