I've been getting around 4-5 hours SOT pretty consistently with my PixelXL. Not a bad battery life by any means but really curious why I'm not getting the awesome 7-9 hours SOT I'm seeing elsewhere.

I haven't, and don't plan on letting the phone go to zero yet but checking at 75, 50, and 25% shows me averaging 6 1/2 hours SOT. It could even be higher because my home gets zero signal for Project Fi. On my 6P I would be lucky to get 2 to 2 1/2 hours in the same time frame.

Great Battery Life/SOT here!

I unplugged my phone at 100% around 1am the night before, hung out for a bit and fell asleep.
Woke up around 6 hours later at 97%. Used the phone the rest of the day with no holds barred.

No battery saving tricks at all...
Location on with high accuracy
Screen brightness at 50% with adaptive, which is plenty bright imo
Bluetooth on
Mostly LTE, maybe 25% wifi.
"OK Google" voice detection on, even from standby.
Live wallpaper

I watched a ton of youtube, played some games, a bunch of facebook, while almost the whole day the phone was playing music paired to either my Sony MDR-1000x, or my car.
I also run a youtube channel, OMGadgets, and i used the phone this day to take pics/vids for an upcoming comparison video against the iPhone 7, and also used it to launch a bunch of games and apps for an upcoming speed and ram management test against the iphone 7.
Also rebooted it a couple of times during the day.

I have to say, 5 hours of SOT in 21 hours of a very heavy use day is impressive AF. I have read some pretty mixed battery reviews.... but the one I have seems to be on point.

screen at 50% with adaptive on, location with high accuracy, mainly browsing web, youtube, instagram, reading emails and texting. Granted 75% off time I was connected to wifi but this is easily the best out of box battery experience from an Android phone I've ever had

Just hit 5 hours of screen on time for my first time in years. Unplugged at 100%, brightness at 50% with adaptive, 2 and half hours of driving with Bluetooth audio connected playing podcasts, Google maps active the whole time. About 3.5 hours wifi usage. Definitely getting way more battery life than reviews led me to expect.

I tend to hammer my battery pretty hard.
- 30 mins YouTube in the morning
- 30 minute offline video (amazon video) on the way to work (+
- 5hrs offline music via Bluetooth
- 30 minute offline video on the way back from work
- 30 mins of offline music via bluetooth etc while I walk home etc

Bluetooth and WiFi always on, WiFi was on full accuracy (now changed to battery save)

However I do find it to be inconsistent lately getting android system drain (around 15%)
