There is no way Oreo had any worse battery backup than this ****e load thing called Pie. In fact it was much better*. Has anyone reverted to Oreo from Pie and started getting back good battery backup again? I would gladly go back anyway, but those camera features like Night Sight is not making me.

*Getting like 4-4.5 hours SoT on average, and that's without any gaming. On Oreo withe same usage SoT was at least 45-60 mins more FFS!

How many hours unplugged?
Uhh...that is unplugged? What would be the point in claiming SoT if the phone was plugged in the whole time? If I charge my phone to 100% and unplug it, I can get up to 5 +/- hours of SoT without plugging it in again. Of course that depends on what apps I'm using, playing games nets me much less SoT.

5 hours SOT in 12 hours unplugged Is a bad result for example
5 hours SOT in 36 hours unplugged Is a very good result

This Is what i mean

Ohh my apologies for misunderstanding what you meant and replying with a bit of attitude. My best case scenario was 5 hours SoT with around 20 hours unplugged total. That is with battery saver enabled at 20% ish battery left.

So I'm not the only one seeing this... I recently got a refurbished pixel XL and update it straight away to Android 9, made a factory reset, and I was shocked by how fast the battery drops, and the phone gets very warm. I just wake up, used some Facebook, wrote this post and I'm already at 87%. I have the battery saver always on, I will eventually make an other factory reset since many updates happend in the background, and I will disable what I can but I doubt that it will solve anything. 86% now

I've already made reports to Google about this and even had my phone replaced for a refurbished one, and I'm only having about 3.5 hrs SOT on light use with low brightness.
In fact, I took mine off the charger, used it for 2 minutes and was already down 2%

the battery is improving with Francisco Franco kernel

In the last weeks I have installed several kernels but the battery performance is still really bad, I am in the francisco franco kernel (FrancoKernel) so far it has given me good battery performance, it should be mentioned that I always have the dark interface, I deactivate the data when I do not need them, and I have few apps installed, the deep sleep of this kernel is incredible reaching only 0.2% in 8 hours of sleep I am testing but the statistics I have point to 6 hours of screen, attached screenshots

Sorry for my bad English

Here is my conclusion for Google Pixel XL and latest updates (Android 10).

After upgrade from Android 9 > Android 10 I noticed that my battery doesn't last long, before SOT was around 3-3,5 hours, now is 2-2,5 hours.

According to AccuBattery, my battery health is around 63-65% (2/3 capacity of original capacity).

Anyway, if I leaved my phone overnight in 6-8 hours it has discharged for amazing 30..35%, that was insane. So, if you don't use your phone it will be discharged from 100% to 0% in only 24 hours.

I disabled everything possible and all I think it isn't important; background restrict and background data restrict for some battery hungry apps. Results are now slightly better. Around 20-25% discharge overnight. In my opinion this is still not normal. Old iPhone 6s (from 2015) overnight discharge only for 1-3%.

Here are my GSamBatteryStats. I reset all settings in this app when was mobile put in Screen Off. No matter if my phone is on 100% when I go to sleep or at 50%, it will discharge for about 20-25%.

On current screenshots phone was at 55%, over night to the morning it was only on 28% (that was -27% in 7hrs, cca 4% per hour, 4%*24h >>> 96%, I loose whole battery if I don't use my phone at all).
