Hi, I bought used OnePlus 3T, which seems to be in pretty good condition and I seem to get less battery backup than I expected.
Got SOT around 4 hours last time I charged full. I have enabled doze and disabled optimization for Whatsapp and Instagram. Do suggest me if there are any tweaks. Don't want to root and use custom ROM/Kernel as of now.

Try the Omni dragon rom, using it for months now. Best rom you can get out there.
Edit : I have been the beta tester before it was even released on xda that's why I said months.
And if you prefer oos then use a the open beta build, much better and as stable as the stable releases

Sorry if I'm going off topic, but you bought it for how much?

INR 14000, there was not a single scratch on the device.
Since I updated my device to Open Beta builds, I am getting more SOT than before. Device is absolutely worth for the money I paid.

If u use mostly 3/4G, BT or GPS then it's perfectly fine.
Without no other info, no more advice can be provided.

This is the highest i've got recently. normally it still lasts around 6 hours. Dark Mode, Using Web apps instead of standalone apps, open source alternatives and not playing games.

There is no such thing as normal SOT time.
Every user has different apps, uses differently his phone so results vary.

Also latest updates don't affect specifically the battery.

Have stock rom/kernel OOS 5.0.5,Rooted-Magisk,Xposed flashed, idle drain 0,00% and SOT 4h. Also have some apps like greenify,Amplify,LeanDroid to keep 0,00% idle drain overnight..

never had good battery life with xposed
