End of day one with my H870DS: 18hr on battery, 5hr of SOT, phone is now standing at 2% (time to charge!)

This is with always on display, everything on sync, bluetooth & NFC on, High Accuracy location, google now feed on. I was battering the phone this morning installing and setting up all my apps, and I also had to configure a new PAYG SIM card so had several restarts.

Happy with this. I'm sure once my usage calms down I'll be easily getting to the end of my day.

Does anyone else find that it'll sit idle at a certain percentage for quite some time, but then as soon as you pick it up and interact it drops very quickly?

It's been sat on my desk for the past hour at 86%, then used it for no more than a minute and it dropped to 84%. Methinks its not reporting drain very accurately.

There is some problem with the battery monitor or with idle itself as phone idle is always one of the main cause of battery drain. LG said that there will be some improvement with the next update, will see when it will arrive.
As for your question specifically, yes, it happens to me also

Not just me then!
Yeah, phone idle is always in Top 2 of battery drain (it was my No. 1 yesterday). I'm used to it being either Screen/Android OS coming from a Samsung, so its a bit of a strange one to me, services must be being reported under Idle than Android OS/System etc...

Hopefully LG get an update to sort it soon (and hopefully allow us to schedule in Comfort View mode)

Day 3 and battery life has sort of fallen off the cliff. I had to plug in yesterday to top up at about 6pm. That was about 12hrs off charger, 2hrs of SOT.

Even my year old Note 5 made it a bit longer than that. And I got the G6 as I was hoping for better battery life. :/

I can't help but feel that I must live and work in two areas which have terrible mobile reception. I've turned off 4G today to see if 3G lasts me any longer.

Mobile Switching is really bad on this phone, Samsungs suffer less afaik.
Also I, at work, have a terrible mobile signal, had to force to 4g only because is the one with stronger signal lol

I am seriously conidering gettiing this phone. I have the LG G3 and for a long while now, the battery is draining very fast (I got a new battery and it's still doing it). I had almost 50% drain over night the otehr day despite using Greenify. I cannot figure out what is causing it. Mostly use Fulmics and tried RR, then went back to Fulmics. Might give ViperOS a go later.

Has anyone rooted the G6, it seems a bit complicated. I must have a phone I can root!

Then you must buy European version of the G6.

Hi guys

I am getting poor screen on time, max 4 to 4:30 hours, I find that the Phone Idle is drawing way too much power at times. In 8 hours of Sleep I saw the phone drop 9 % to 12%. That's with AOD, LTE, WiFi all off.

I also find that my phone normal running temperature is in the range of 35-37deg C and while browsing Chrome and watching YouTube, it gets heated to 42deg C, I find gaming to be better at 39 to 40 max on games like asphalt. Using apps like YouTube and Facebook I find the phone to heat up.

I have disabled GPS, NFC, AOD, WiFi, location based WiFi and Bluetooth Scanning had also been turned off.

I actually use LTE for my internet usage, I switched to 3G as well but could not find a marginally better improvement.

There are problems with the phone idle since the G5.
Hope that with the next update they solved this thing...
