I got usually 6:30 to 8hrs of SOT
anyone can uninstall any system app (until you do factory reset, that will bring everything back)
just enable adb, install minimal adb on your pc, run command line as admin
in command line:
adb shell
hit enter and then write
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.lge.qmemoplus
in case you want uninstall qmemo (you can check exact package info and name with application inspector on playstore)
and this works for any system covered bloatware

I uninstalled QuickMemo just like you said and, just for a heads up for anyone trying this, you'll lose the Capture+ option completely. No Quick Settings tile or the button on the Navbar. You can still take screenshots using the power + volume down button combo. Which is fine but you lose the annotation capabilities.

then there is also choice to just hide annoying system apps by using:
pm hide com.lge.qmemoplus
and in case of problems you can go easily back with:
pm unhide com.lge.qmemoplus

Does hide actually disable the app though? Or just hide it from the list of apps but it still runs in the background?

app will be completely disabled, it won't boot at start, won't show anywhere... like it's not even installed
Then could you confirm if the Capture+ option would be affected by it or not? Because it's pretty much gone for me and unless I reset, I won't be able to get it back.

by uninstalling qmemoplus, capture+ is gone, didn't tried to hide it but look at this link bellow, you can install it and then search for it's updates to get it back, also reboot after install...

okies. But one more thing.. a weird thing is happening with my mobile for the past 2 days. my phone never went beyond 36C even when I use it in direct sunlight sometimes. and my phone felt warm only when i used it in direct sunlight. otherwise no matter what the temperature, my phone stayed very lil warm. from Day before yestrday , during my travel, or when idle. the phone starts at 26-28C, and suddenly raises upto 33. and today it set a all time high going till 39C and the phone felt pretty much warm even when there was no sunlight and the ambient temperature throughout my travel stayed at 25C. i was just seeing youtube videos, for which my phonw never even got a bit warm, today it was high. and even unlocking and replying in fb messenger gets it to 36-37C. what suddenly happened to my Mobile. I'm pretty much mobile. for something which never crossed 36 suddnely going near 40 and feels pretty warm to touch.
That's probably the phone using high cpu for long periods of time.. maybe for the sync issue but could be weak signal as well. We're u on LTE?

Yup, I get that a lot on LTE. smart doctor diagnoses weak signals most often, but these warmnes for even ulocking and browsing through gallery is what irritating me to the core. and yesterday, overnight from 00.30 to morning 06.40 it dropped around 21% which is insanewith Always on display but 21% is too much.

Maybe some app is triggering wakelock..and the phone never goes to deep sleep..
I used Gsam to monitor. Android system, Google services and apple msic were on top..

Sometimes this high consumption happens randomly and intermittently, with no apparent reason.
Does it happen every night?
During the day, my idle consumption varies tremendously, and I have not found a way to influence it.
Early reviewers of the device noted this as well. Some quirk that will hopefully be corrected in Oreo....
In any case I have no problem getting a full day out of the battery if I start fully charged.

recently for the past two weeks, previously it'd be very max of 5% overnight!and heating/warming up is more. today morning it went to 38 without much use..although ambient temp is low :( it's making me sick.

sometimes sitting out and browsing the gallery raises my phone from 26-27 to 34-35.. don't know what exactly going on!, resetted twice

I don't think that it happens randomly and out of the blue..STH ' s not working the way it is expected..try to stop data sync on background apps..also, Google system should not be that high..check the activity of the apps and try to force stop them to see if there are any changes on the battery stats per app..

I think the best solution is flashing the firmware again..if no success, I think you should get it to an authorized service center..

I agree that there is a reason.
Those of us in the medical field have a principle, that the more there exist different types of treatments for a certain condition, the less effective they actually are. This is because if there was something that was truly effective most of the time, it would come to dominate and the others would fall by the wayside.
I'm applying the same principle here. Admittedly I am not a programmer or expert. But the fact is that these forums are chock full of dozens of different bits of advice about how to reduce battery consumption. None of them are consistently effective over time, and for most people they won't make a difference. That's one reason everybody is waiting for Oreo...
The drain does not seem to be related to any specific process, bluetooth, wi-fi or the like. Turning these things off doesn't help. Some days I'll get 1-2% drain an hour and some days 4%, with not obvious change in my apps or usage pattern.

These issues are to my belief normal as sometimes apps get stuck in syncing etc. A reboot and should fix most of these problems.

I don't know if u are rooted and not really sure about the effectiveness of greenify without root but u should give it a try to reduce the cpu usage for these apps in the background. It works wonders on my rooted device and works great on my friend's non rooted. (Just not as intuitive)

Also try disabling other bloatware apps that you don't use!

If you are rooted and comfortable with xposed tweaks than try amplify as well.

Sorry for the late reply I bricked my phone and was busy in bricking it :D

For the heating issue. Did you consider the fact that maybe it's just the increasing temp cuz of the weather?
I live in a warm City and my device while normal in winter's.. heats up insanely in summer! And that heating up also effects the battery life. It goes back to normal when in cold conditions and in winter. That's just a characteristic of the lithium ion battery I believe.

If u believe it's not the weather than still resetting the decide is not necessary. Most of the time it's just a rogue app update or sync issue and would resolve itself in a few days. After the update settles in.

As I mentioned weather is a probability here too. But a bug could be an issue as well.
As mentioned above rogue app updates are a high likely issue specially if you are rooted.

Keep in mind that the Google services and Google services framework apps get updated in the background without any notification or alert.
I once reset my device many times and even flashed a new rom within one week only to get the same problem again before I realized that it wasn't the ROM or firmware but gservices app that caused the issue and the next update fixed.
Often times the best course of action is to not to do anything and let it settle in.

One guy wrote in a post that quickmemo made high usage of cpu..try to force stop and disable this app..I have performed that on my G6 just in case..I think there is a high chance you see lower battery drain and better temperatures..

Poor Battery life on LG G6

I see that lots of people are getting in between 5-6 Hours of SOT. I only get around 3.5 Hours of SOT over a 22 hours of usage.
Can you post some Recommended settings to improve the battery life?

HI!

First of all, I can't thank you enough for patiently responding to all my whining here! thank you very much!
one last whining which I'm very concerned about, sometimes, even watching youtube doesn't get my mobile warmed up, but just scrolling through the images in the gallery makes it warm up! ambient was 31, was browsing through gallery, it raised to 34 and became warm to notice.
