Hi,
I usually read a lot but don't post...
I have a Galaxy S8 on Oreo and i'm having around 3 hours SOT.
I've tried many things already. The only good thing now is the standby drain. At night i'm losing around 5% instead of 20% in the past.
As many of you i used to have a stellar battery life under Nougat. It isjust night and day compared to my Mi4c with its mediocre battery and its bad optimized SoC...
At the moment here is what i've done:
Flashed an official ROM (moving from Vodafone DE ROM to XEF France) with factory reset.
Using a black/dark theme from the store. I tried Substratum in the past. It looked good but was a pain in the butt everytime you have to update an app.
Followed Neomancr's guide on reddit
Using Naptime (adb permission granted, though i'm not sure it really changes something)
Using GsamBattery Monitor (adb permission granted)
Most of the day, Bluetooth is on as well as WI-FI (though should be off when idle according to Neomancr's guide, but i don't really see it because at the time i unlock my phone the wifi status icon is visible).
I'm mostly browsing the web, watching YouTube (Vanced edition), some social media and many 10-15 minutes of gaming everyday.
I wouldn't consider that as heavy use but seems so or maybe I did something wrong...
Screen resolution is set to WQHD+ (FullHD+ would bring me only 10-15 minutes more according to device management tool)...
Any idea, any suggestion?
I know it is possible to disable system app with package disabler but is it really efficient and safe?
