Same here

I may have a defective S8+ looking at these SOT. My S8+ dropped average of about 5% every hour with light use. Never gauge my SOT but I do not expect it to last more than 4 hours based on the average 5%/hour pattern.

About 5% per hour. factory reset. restored without apps. Still happens. Very light/moderate use of phone. Bluetooth and WiFi off when not at home.

I guess I'm going to see about replacing the phone.

What variant do you have? I have the G955-FD with UAE rom bought from eBay.

45mins reading reddit
50% brightness
AOD turned off
Sync turned off

nothing else honestly:silly:

Mediaserver eating battery means corrupt SD card or storage.
Need to remove sd card
Or
Restart phone
Or
Format internal Storage as last resort

AOD is the culprit. For the first time today, I turned off AOD, the phone went 12 hours with 51% juice left with similar usage pattern. Typically with AOD turned on, after 12 hours, I am left with about 30%. I am confident to say that AOD sucks 1 to 1.5% per hour depending on its brightness. AOD is a good concept but based on the 1 to 1.5% per hour rate, i'll have to keep it off at the moment.

Yes. You need to root your phone, install a custom recovery then choose rom of your choice to flash

For installing custom roms, no need to root the device. Just TWRP recovery is needed.

Drain more battery on hd then full hd

On youtube a test was made and happend the same
Diferent drain
Soo now i have sure about this

This will change your screen on time
