I'm getting better results with Oreo based oos(xXx ob3) compared to nougat based oos https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/review/screen-time-t3646100/post75071883
No magisk modules, no other kernel used just the same apps like on nougat.
8:40h sot within 2½ days of usage and 16% left. 10h easily when going to 0.

What rom are you using ?7h 30min, with 30% battery left, over 2 days...
I have no idea how you guys get these crazy 7-8 hrs sot on your devices without rooting and tweaking.
I actually found out that no tweak with stock rom is how I get the best baterry life, by far.
You can tweak your stock rom too to get better battery life. Good examples: turn of location history and put google app on data saver
Leave everything stock and you will have good battery life.
It also depends on the type of apps being installed and the services they use though it may not be at top of usage, they consume wifi, mobile and cpu so battery could differ.. I have corporate email that keeps running all the time and I get only 6-7 hours of screen+talk time..

I used all the top dogs this year, nothing comes close to this beast when it comes to battery life, how oneplus made it with a 3300 is beyond me

Idle time drain depends on the network, and also apps syncing in background.
Lot of apps tend to keep scanning for data in the background.
Try installing better battery stats found on xda, and allow it for a drain from a 100% in idle for around 1hr with app turned on. It should show you whats causing the idle drain.

If I am in an area with good signal strength then I can easily get 5hrs SOT over an 18-20hr period. I have gotten 8hrs SOT before and was still at 18% when I plugged it into the charger at bedtime.
I've had this phone since launch and there has been less than 10 days where I have had to top it off before the end of the day, and that was only because of poor signal, or using GPS a lot
