Man i just recieved my phone an hour ago and the full capacity is 3138! It's unfair if it came with 3138 capacity out of the box!I think there maybe a battery lottery going on.
from reading around forums, it seems to me that although design capacity of the battery is 3300 mah, some note8s arrived with 3450 mah and others as low as 3150.
i checked mine after about 2 week of recieving it had capacity 3182 after 12 cycles.
To check your battery go to
/Sys/class/power supply/battery/
Scroll down to the fg_fullcapnom & Fg_cycle
Open with any text viewer
Fg_ fullcapnom - That Is your current battery capacity in mAh.
Fg_cycle - to see the charging cycle count.(since last factory reset)
Report your readings...

After one cycle it became 3187, the battery seems to be improving with time
Here is mine.. 3318mAh. This one is an old device, maybe from the first batch that came in Finland.

I have changed my theme to a dark one and i'm getting 2 more hours of SOT (usually)
I have everything maxed out e.g. Auto screen brightness, QHD+ resolution, AOD, many gestures enabled but unfortunately still getting average battery life. IF I turn off AOD, it increases the battery life a LOT although I love using AOD. Oh and I'm using Exynos variant of Note8.

Update: at 3% battery... I think it's not bad at all considering the SOT.

Hi..note 8 have 2 version exynos and snap..battety life exynos is better or snapdragon.???which model have more sot?
Generally Exynos variant has better battery life.. If we're talking about SOTs, it depends on how you use your phone.. I've been getting 4-5hrs SOT on my Exynos variant. I'm amazed how some people here can achieve 6-7 hrs of SOT on their Note8 which I'm unable to:crying:
Im getting 4 sot and 7 sot..depend my phone on 4g or wifi....im getting with wifi near 7.30 hr sot..on 4g near 4.30 sot..
If I disable AOD, only then I could boost my battery life greatly reaching 6hrs of SOT
Just using it stock with Disconnect Pro. AOD is off. Resolution is wqhd+, adaptive display and auto brightness on. I don't go below 15% battery and I use quick charge to 100%. That's all I do.
Snapdragon variant:
No custom ROM or anything, but I am using bk disabler. 0 dark themes. Mostly used Facebook, instagram, google chrome (30 tabs open), snapchat, YouTube and Netflix. Downloaded 10 songs, had a 30 minute phone conversation, and lots of texting. Location and sync was on the whole time. Only used wifi, max screen resolution, and aod off. 45 applications installed and 2 widgets on screen(1 of which is a weather app). Using nova launcher with the Google companion.
