Developer options > uncheck Aggressive WiFi to mobile handover, Always allow WiFi roam scans, and Mobile data always active.

Screen on time is not good on pixel 2 . I have got pixel 2 after using U11 which used to give 7-8 hours screen on time on 4G and pixel give maximum 4 hours on 4G data..

Having some issues with screen on time. Noticed this around the time I updated to February 2018 OTA and since I've flashed it back to Jan 2018, my screen on time can sometimes be really awful. I used to get 6h~ SOT but now I can get as low as 2hrs some days. All original charger, stock Android. Posted some screenshots of the battery breakdown below. Any tips would be appreciated, is this an RMA hardware issue?

Check your wakelocks (both partial & kernel) with BetterBatteryStats.

Also, do you have any rouge app(s) installed?

Nothing rogue AFAIK. GroupMe is my highest drain, 20% over 1h37m but I can live with that, I know it's thirsty. To see my wakelocks I need to be rooted, don't I?
You can see wakelocks on BBS witouth root...just need to type 2 lines in adb (there is a thread with explanation).

Btw, on mobile data only, im getting 3:30-4h sot in 10-14hours; on wi-fi only, 4-6 hours for same period of time (10-14h). I'm a really hard user, and sometimes I have to charge my phone 3x daily :( Before pixel 2, I had huawei Mate 10 Pro, that was monster with 4000mah and 10+ sot...really miss that phone :(

Any explain why Google is causing show much drain?
This happened to me before with Download Manager (System App).
Go to Settings - Apps - (App with huge battery drain) In your case, it's Google.
Force Stop, delete cache and data.
This happens when Google is trying to reconnect to network and download something that was interrupted before. Could be an offline language or backup. Due to cache build up, it enters a process of rechecking the cache while the file is being a downloaded that causes a loop process without a clear exit terminal.

You should be getting at least 5 hours of SOT in this device even with heavy usage.
Even with all the services such as Adguard+VPN and Google voice always listening activated in my device (except AoD), I'm still getting solid battery life without the help of any third party Doze app.

If all else fails, back up everything and reset the device. Should only take you an hour to fully restore the device with all apps and data.

Hope this helps. :good:

I used the subtratum theme engine, andromeda (no need if you're rooted but it helps in applying the theme), and a swift black subtratum theme. You can easily follow in youtube or in the app how to apply it based on your device and OS version.

Enjoy!

I recently opted in to the Android P beta. I was averaging 3.5 - 5 hours OST before. The first day on P I was online to get 7:40 OST. Within a few days I was closer to 4 to 5 hours OST....The brief experience of Moto Z Play type battery life was nice, lol. I'musing a Pixel 2.
