No they're essentially the same but weekly has risks of unknown newly introduced bugs. Don't upgrade every week then. I use weekly because at the time I want the latest features and I update like once in a year when there are features that I want to have.
My results are close to yours. Yesterday I pushed it quite a bit, been out in the sun in the morning (with auto brightness), did a little use of maps, whatsapp, telegram, a little bit of browsing and few photos. After supper I was at 30% with 2 hours of SoT. Yes the battery is very small but I was hoping for better results. The feeling is that the phone isn't optimized at all., my 6P did better with that failed CPU that was SD810 and a slightly larger battery. I'm on 10.2.2.0 PFBMIXM.Hi, i don't know how you get these SOT.
My SOT, most likely without WiFi, no games even installed. just a few pictures, maps and WhatsApp.
I'm on global stable 10.2.5.0. so far, not impressed nor very satisfied..
Cheers
PS: also tried the tip to change settings to LTE/wcdma only.View attachment 4761923View attachment 4761924View attachment 4761925View attachment 4761926

From what I read there aren't significant differences between EEA and MI firmwares. And I would like to keep the global one right now.

At least on my device I see a difference
2 days of standby and 4.35hrs SoT

That's some impressive battery life there. Mine is nowhere near, which is why I'd like to ask some question if you don't mind,
1. Do you use any "optimisation" Magisk module? No
2. Where do you live and do you have custom network type set? (LTE/WCDMA, etc) Im in EU so using LTE/WCDMA
3. Do you use battery saver? (battery saver mode/adaptive battery) Adaptative battery
4. Which ROM and Kernel are you using exactly? I'm using the latest stable Xiaomi.eu with Okitakernel V2.0, which helps with the battery life but it's still not optimal 9.5.30 beta and okitakernel 2.0
5. Do you use any noteworthy battery saver method? Eg. a Magisk module, a custom setting somewhere, anything nope
6. Do you use AOD? Do you have auto-brightness enabled? Always with the auto
7. Finally, what is you 'Cell standby' and 'Phone idle' drain? I'm looking at the battery stats now and I have 2h 25m screen on time, which counts as 10.6% on the power usage screen, while Cell standby is following with a baffling 9.3%, followed by Phone idle with 7.5%. I'm mostly connected to Wi-Fi, using some messenger apps like Telegram and WhatsApp, so I don't expect 0 idle consumption, but Cell standby almost matching 2.5h of screen on time in terms of power drain is something I can't accept. 1day and 2hrs on battery , 15.3% cell standby , 11% screen (2.45hrs), 9% idle. Battery at 59%.
Sorry about all these questions but you'd really help me out if you provided this info and anything else that comes to your mind! Thanks a bunch!![]()
Check my answers in red. Im not sure what is the problem. With the stable one you should get a decent battery time.
Thanks a lot! I managed to find the culprit. My email client (bluemail) had some buggy push setup where instead of push it was fetching real time, generating background activity and preventing the phone from going into deep sleep. My battery life is still not as good as yours but I reckon I will wait and get MIUI 11 instead of getting obsessed with all this optimization business.
Also, thanks to everyone else for sharing your SOT!
As I read some suggestions that weakly optimized 4G can ruin battery life I did a test without it: 6hr SOT in 2+ days -67% of battery.
That would mean that it's not really a phone anymoreThats great!
So basically running wifi all day plus mobile off?
