I guess I was wrong.

This is what I got with the new beta (9.6.13)

2 days and 5:40hrs SOT . BT always on, no power safe mode and mostly WiFi use

As I read some suggestions that weakly optimized 4G can ruin battery life I did a test without it: 6hr SOT in 2+ days -67% of battery.

Amazing battery life guys, also, in case you haven't noticed there is an updated(v2.5) version of Okitakernel which claims better battery life. I just flashed it, looking forward to see how many hours I can squeeze out of it. Thank you for the hard work @yuneharuka!

I've put the phone in airplane mode for the night(about 8h 30m sleep) with wi-fi turned on and nothing else, no bluetooth, no nfc no nothing and I lost 7% of battery. Something doesn't add up. I'll keep testing.

With fingerprint enabled (and always show setting enabled) there doesn't seem to be any way to avoid ~1% per hour standby drain.

I heard problems about 'always show fingerprint', but just by having fingerprint enabled I haven't had any problems. About 5% a night was normal before (no airplane mode).

For the record, the qcacld module are loaded from the vendor partition, not from the kernel itself.
So for now, that kernel don't have any tweaks for the wi-fi departments. Sorry.

Seems to be behaving normally now. During the night, the "Phone idle" consumption was massive. It's usually the "Cell Standby" that I have problems with. Right now, both are showing normal values. Airplane mode must have triggered something.

Hello everyone - I'm new here.

I have a problem with my mi 9 se, what it is "Google" aplication?
I don't know why it drain battery so much...

Do you know what to do ?
:(

I disconnected mi 9 se from the charger in the morning.
Right now 45% SOC
1h 20 min on screen
The "Google" app is on the first place of battery usage, it consumed 38%.

Please tell me why ?

Huh, my average is better on 10.3.1 Global stable without any fuss... I attached one of the best, only 2/3 battery is used to preserve its life. Just imagine if I had used it -21% like you to 12 AND I even had 1d17h of usage, +10h to contain more taxing idle time.

10.3.4 global stable, i reach everytime 5h SoT. No facebook and messenger app (using friendly, force closing after looking on new feeds), no insta, twitter etc., Just whatsapp on and gmail. No fingerprint unlocking. Signal settings changed to lte/wcdma.
Imo its pretty decent SoT. And with quick charge, the 3000maH isnt annoying at all, 5-20 minutes of charging is deal.

The Snapdragon 625 was a legendary CPU battery wise.

I definitely agree.. getting almost 13hrs SOT, on mixed use in HM5Plus(vince), no gaming.

I am rooting for Mi9SE this year, probably the main selling point is its compact size, regardless of all the missing features I got used to, like audiojack, fm radio, notification LED etc.

Here's my battery stats running pixel experience with okita kernel. No problems with battery life, plus there are still improvements to be made to the rom and kernel development has only just started

Something must be using up your battery. Might be miui or some apps. Use a battery app to find out where it's going. I don't have much running in the background.

I've tried every custom rom for the mi 9 se and the most I've gotten is 6-7 hours SOT, until now. I just flashed the MIUI EU weekly rom (MIUI 11 based off Android 10) and I'm getting 10 hours SOT. I've included pictures in this post with the miui version and the battery stats. As you can see from 100% to 50% I got a little more than 5 hours SOT.

    there you go, sir..
lots of lightroom editing and insta and whatsapp and browsing.
    stunning SOT..

That's some impressive battery life there. Mine is nowhere near, which is why I'd like to ask some question if you don't mind,
    1. Do you use any "optimisation" Magisk module? No
    2. Where do you live and do you have custom network type set? (LTE/WCDMA, etc) Im in EU so using LTE/WCDMA
    3. Do you use battery saver? (battery saver mode/adaptive battery) Adaptative battery
    4. Which ROM and Kernel are you using exactly? I'm using the latest stable Xiaomi.eu with Okitakernel V2.0, which helps with the battery life but it's still not optimal 9.5.30 beta and okitakernel 2.0
    5. Do you use any noteworthy battery saver method? Eg. a Magisk module, a custom setting somewhere, anything nope
    6. Do you use AOD? Do you have auto-brightness enabled? Always with the auto
    7. Finally, what is you 'Cell standby' and 'Phone idle' drain? I'm looking at the battery stats now and I have 2h 25m screen on time, which counts as 10.6% on the power usage screen, while Cell standby is following with a baffling 9.3%, followed by Phone idle with 7.5%. I'm mostly connected to Wi-Fi, using some messenger apps like Telegram and WhatsApp, so I don't expect 0 idle consumption, but Cell standby almost matching 2.5h of screen on time in terms of power drain is something I can't accept. 1day and 2hrs on battery , 15.3% cell standby , 11% screen (2.45hrs), 9% idle. Battery at 59%.

Sorry about all these questions but you'd really help me out if you provided this info and anything else that comes to your mind! Thanks a bunch!:)

Check my answers in red. Im not sure what is the problem. With the stable one you should get a decent battery time.

    WOW this looks great!
what version are you on? global, eu, china or Russia? and what update?

I am on Global 10.2.5.0 (PFBEUXM), stable
Oh and I forgot, bluetooth was on all along, connected to mi band 3. Not sure how much it affects the battery though

Hi guys. I am considering buying this phone as I love compact phones for which there are very few options available at the moment.

If the guys who own the device could kindly post the average SOT on daily usage it could be really helpful for people like me to evaluate the device...

    Thank you

Do you know where to download?
Xiaomi firmware updater for FW. Older BB you may flash later. Bliss via their official DL site.
