Got one of these in black - http://www.incipio.com/cases/smartp...ria-sp-cases/sony-xperia-sp-dualpro-case.html

Went with the faster FedEx option, got halfway around the world in three business days. There's no cases for it at all in my country, and I've always had rugged cases for my phones so this is pretty much the only option I've come across. Build quality is solid, even the hard plastic backplate has a rubberised texture to it which makes it nice and grippy. Doesn't cover ports, but that doesn't bother me.

I can upload some photos in the next day or two if people like?

No, you 're not wrong. Practically all previous Sony models came with a preinstalled screen-protector which, supposedly, had a shatter-proof effect on the non-gorillaglass, unknown-manufacturer glass covering their screens. In the year 2013 Sony discovered a reputable manufacturer named Corning and they made a "big step" forward by installing their Gorilla Glass product on the SP. Many people, of course, have the the misconception that Gorilla Glass is completely scratch-proof but they will soon be brought back to reality! So, get yourself a nice screen-protector right away!!!

The SP has gorilla glass, laminated with plastic.

do you own an SP? touch it?
It's sitting right next to me! By your reply I can assume that the use of "plastic-laminated Gorilla Glass" is a conclusion that you have arrived to by yourself. I still believe that a non-removable "plastic" coating is something that defies the purpose of the development of Gorilla Glass. I need more proof to be convinced! Besides, Sony's White Paper makes reference to ordinary "Gorilla Glass", not even of the 2nd or 3rd generation.

Absolutely! You are completely correct in derivation on my conclusion. I meant what I said and I said what I meant. It is still undeniable if you have any sort of sense of feeling, that there is indeed plastic on my screen ( C5406) . You are correct on the fact that there is Gorilla glass...with plastic on it.

And you think that this coating is harder than GG? If it is, then Corning has probably wasted millions of dollars into developing a glass that is softer than "some" plastic. If it is softer, what can you do when it gets scratched, being non-removable?
