Running my S23U with case no screen protector. Fingerprint works flawlessly, victus 2 isn't designed to be covered up by cheap glass or plastic.

Gorilla Glass Victus 2 offers excellent impact protection. It is however susceptible to scratches so if that's an issue, a screen protector is the best way to avoid them.

Tempered glass protectors offer that smooth as glass feel but are a pain to install and a pain to remove when they crack because of the ultraviolet cure glue.

Then there's the myth that the screen protector broke but the screen didn't so it saved the screen from damage. The truth of the matter is that the tempered glass is so thin and so fragile that it breaks with minimal abuse. Then there's the delamination issues and fingerprint issues that some but not all users experience with them.

TPU protectors also have their issues and some don't like the feel of them. On the other hand they are easy to apply, easy to remove, relatively durable and cost effective. From my experience the LK and EGV brands are a good value.
Lastly and this really does work; I periodically treat the surface with automotive spray wax/detailer. It makes that TPU feel like glass :sneaky:

And there it is again, the misconception about gorilla glass victus 2 been harder to crack but easier to scratch. Gorilla glass victus and victus 2 are 2x more scratch resistant when compared to gorilla glass 6 and 4x better when compared with competitive aluminosilicate glass.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
My Ringke lasted exactly one week before delaminating. I will install the spare but then buy something else
The second one lasted all of 2 days. It seems that the Samsung leather case lifts the edges. Strange thing is that the lifting happened also where there are wings. I have ordered the amfilm glass covers. Those rounded corners on the ultra devices really serve absolutely no useful purpose.

OK guys , I'm tired of this Samsung bs with ''SAVE THE PLANET'' so we won't provide you a screen protector.
While my previous OnePlus 5 OEM protector lasted 5.5 years !!!!

1. Tried Axessorize glass protector (no UV, stick). finger print didn't work and dust was going on the edge (refund)

2. Plastic film. Didn't cover all the screen. 25$ wasted.

3. Glass UV with the BEST review on amazon. 50$ refunded. The glue simply did NOT stick. Installation was flawless, look good, tried 3 method , different curing time. When you don't touch the phone it looks perfect. Once you use it it unglue. I could have put a paper sheet on it and it would do the same.

4. XDA TELL ME please ! ( and from the review official samsung protector is worst than the 3rd party)

So recap this planet saving BS : 3 products + 3 transports (plane/truck) @ XXL of fuel + 3 e-waste packaging.

Samsung get our back here, thank you.

Just wait for it, the edges turn hazy because the glue lifts. This is an issue all liquid protectors have this year. The slight edge is enough to not give enough adhesion surface for.

Also Techmate changed the LOCA this year. If you take the protector off, you'll notice it peels off like a regular screen protector, not the long slow sticky removal like it used to be (which was a good thing). I also tried filling in the edges by letting surface tension suck up glue (I used from old kit) and curing it. It works for a few days before it stops sticking again.

@oVeRdOsE.

I'll comment on the "plastic film". If you spent 25 on them you got ripped off. TPU protectors are like 12 for a 4 pack.

Those often have a tacky feel but fit best. Whatever you bought was poo-poo brand. I'm on my third Whitestone/amFilm protector and am fed up, I've never had issues like this with the S20 U, S21 U, or S22 U with their products.

Get a proper TPU protector, use fakespot (Google search) to make sure the reviews are legit. You csn also try using a UV light for about 45 seconds after its fully adhered to make it stick better and (sometimes) less tacky.

My phone is due to arrive tomorrow and I'll be trying these screen protectors. I've looked through all the usual brands I'd use but the S21 was a nightmare with the fingerprint reader so I had to keep it bare in the end. So, I'm going to try these and will report back ASAP.

What case do you use that is compatible with this screen protector?

I have this in my s23 ultra. It does not have a punch hole for camera but it only affects selfies during dark photos. Other than that the screen protector adhered great. Fingerprint sensor is accurate. The only thing is make sure glass is aligned perfect. I am using UAG plasma and Ringke fusion cases. They are a tight fit with this glass so I shaved a bit of the top edges of the cases to not peel off glass. Other than that the glass has been great for months now.

Been using this one https://s.lazada.co.th/s.joCbP since the beginning, and for less than $0.75, they do wonders at avoiding any scratch on our beloved screen. Tried some UV glass stuff when I just received my device and had no success with it, so I went for some hydrogel solution and they last, are dirty cheap and easy to apply.

This is the one I got and fingerprint has been pretty reliable unless my hands are very cold.
Now...I know it has a border but the border is very thin and mainly there to cover up the part that might not stick to the curved edges. I do not see any raised edges.

The adhesive on the protector is very tacky and thick so it sticks to the face and curved parts very well. It is a bit of a pain to apply bc of the adhesive (watch the tutorial video lol) but the 1st one is basically a test, 2nd one applied perfectly.

I bought so many glass protectors for this phone. So far this is the best outside maybe the dome/UV however I never tried the dome myself. This might be linked in here but just adding my 2cents
