screen slow to come on

I have updated to Marshmallow and the only problem i am seeing is the display being slow.When the display is black and you press home or power to turn on display,it is a little slow to brighten to normal.And when you hit power to turn it off it has like a shutter effect instead of going instantly off.I have seen the shutter effect before with custom roms and there was always a way to turn it off.Anyway going through the settings i dont see any way to fix this screen issue.I have booted into recovery and cleared the cache partition and that didnt help.Can someone steer me in the right direction to fix this issue,because it is really annoying to me.Thanks.

How long? A second? 5 seconds?

How long? A second? 5 seconds?

Maybe a second,sometimes 2.Its like it is gradually brightening or something,and when i turn the screen off it has that annoying shutter effect.
