I just found out when I'm changing the screen brightness, the screen temperature is jumping around slightly. This is very very subtle, you have to move the slider very slowly, more noticeable on white background.
I'm not sure if this happen on my unit only or all note8 experience the same, could you guys test this on your phone?

Thanks.

Green set all the way left on slider (0 %)
Blue set all the way right. to 100%

Guys try these settings. I had a very noticeable green/yellow tint when viewing anything with white on my Samsung note 8. I returned my first note 8 cause of this issue and my replacement note 8 suffers from the exact white color balance issue. So I suspect these settings will work for your note 8 if your whites seem yellow/ green. I noticed the brightness of my display has increased marginally with these settings. ( unless it's in my head).
I also compared both my note 8's to the display units at stores and the display units look superior. I think Samsung display units use higher quality of parts in display our have the brightness playing significantly higher than our note 8s.

Use ADB to push it.
"am broadcast -a android.provider.Telephony.SECRET_CODE -d android_secret_code://15987"
So cool. Thanks!

I tried it and got a permission denial exception:

Permission Denial: not allowed to send broadcast android.provider.Telephony.SECRET_CODE from pid=12864, uid=2000

Looks like they have this thing locked down tight.

Hi All,

Today when I went to the Samsung shop, I've noticed that the Note 8 demo unit display is brighter and sharper compared to mine although its the same exact setting (no blue filter, same resolution, max brightness, adaptive display). So I've sent in my phone for diagnose. Fast foward, 45 mins later I have received a message that my phone has been fixed and I found out that they didnt do anything and just factory reset my phone. WAIT WHAT?!!!

So I brought the staff again and ask them to compare my unit with the demo unit, acknowledging the differences he went scrambling around for an answer with his colleague.

Here is the interesting part... the bullshit he told me that demo set is from Korea, so what? Our local Singapore set is inferior from korea? And he told me further that My display is within Samsung acceptable QC.. I Give up

Left set is the Demo set, Right set it mine

Try the *#15987 as above trick. Set reddish to a lower figure then call back.

Yea, I did that I've set it to the lowest figure which is 0.
I've done everything :

1. Set the green and red to 0
2. Max brightness
3. Ensure blue light is turned off
4. Set the bar to the middle setting for cool and warm

Apparently, many other people are encountering the same issue :

The lowest setting of zero is more red , set it to a higher numbered value.

"Adaptive" Display "Usage Patterns"

These are some key words to remember. An ADAPTIVE display, "adapts", based on your usage, how much light (or lack of), you use your phone under. The sun, and it's position in the sky. How often you use your phone indoors vs. outdoors, etc. There are a myriad of reasons why your Display will almost always look a touch different than any other person who uses an Adaptive Display.

Sorry if my message came off as rude, not my intention, I just meant..... it LITERALLY says "Adaptive".
