screen touch issue

I'm been having this issue the last 2-3 weeks where I unlock my phone and the device unlocks but the screen is totally unresponsive. No touches or swipes registers. I have to lock then unlock again for it to work.
My device is un rooted ,On the latest os apparently atleast for where I am, Android 9 build #- 52.0.A.11.32 November patch.

Anyone having or had similar issues and know a way to fix it?

Upgrade to 10.0
Fullwipe your phone for a clean experience and look if it got fixed

My dad bought now a XZ2 too to replace his Samsung galaxy note 2.
It got delivered with 8.0
I upgraded it straight to 10.0 with newflasher and fullwiped it at the same time.
So far no touch problem he reported to me.
But maybe he use the touchscreen just too slow to trigger the firmware bug. [emoji14]
