screen wake on notification

Whenever I get a text, my screen wakes. After about 40 minutes on google, i found nothing helpful. How can I turn this off? Running badboyz Rom and OBOne kernel . The threads for each don't mention screen wake that I saw

It's a kernel feature. Try using trickster mod app to disable it. It should be under screen wake control

It is not under screen wake control on trickster. It seems more for sweep2wake and user interaction to wake the phone, nothing about notifications.
