I can mirror screen phone screen to Car, but the touch on the cars HeadUnit doesn't do anything. What might be the reason for that?

What kind of phone? You may have to enable Alternative touch under other settings.

Folks, my custom rom provides an update to Android 13. Who knows if everything concerning S2A (folder structure to restrict the permissions) is working? don't dare to update yet.

Seems that all the problems are with rooted phones, ironically, or Xiaomi phones.

What kind of phone? You may have to enable Alternative touch under other settings.

Running a Samsung with LOS19.1 and microG. I will check that.

I Have the same phone, galaxy s22 ultra on FIAT TIPO and touch is good. You mus enable on phone alternative touch, button number two, and enable scree2auto in accessibily settings on the phone-

My Pixel 6 Pro works great. I also have Ford sync in my Maverick and have no issues with touch screen. I was referring to all the other posts about people having issues.

Looking back in the thread, I seems most are either using Xiaomi phones or Custom Roms.

I had this issue on a particular phone a while back, I don't even remember which phone.

I had to keep going into the phone settings under accessibility and disabling and then re-enabling screen to auto. Even then it was still hit or miss if the touch screen worked.

If you're using Magisk, install the Magisk module su_connector (download here: https://www.mediafire.com/file/7dduzlef86y7ppj/SU_Connector.zip/file). Reboot after installing.

You should then turn off alternate touch in S2A. The touch response should work normally in S2A after installing this, and not ultra-sensitive like it is with alternate touch turned on.

With the alternate setting I get the touch feedback working.
The only disturbing is, that when starting on cars screen I have to hit "enable stream" on phones display. (I don't give the app root access).

Today I drove back and forth the whole day, I restarted the car and AA dozen times, but Fermata and S2A as I set them up yesterday evening, still continued to work in AA, they did not dissapear in AA screen)

(Previously I needed to reconnect AA two or three times, and S2A and Fermata would dissapear. Or they would dissapear over the six-ten hours even without using AA)

Hence, to prevent AA to remove S2A and Fermata (both were installed by EEAase), it was needed for me to set chmod 551 recursively to the folders:
/data/data/com.google.android.projection.gearhead/shared_prefs

and to: /data/data/com.google.android.projection.gearhead/files/phenotype

Btw, AA still created another folder (with four files in there):
/data/data/com.google.android.projection.gearhead/databases

but it did not affect S2A and Fermata

(That third folder can not be chmod-ed to 551 - when I tried, it caused AA to crash on start)

Also, as mentioned earlier, I used Swift Backup. Made a backup of AA, S2A and Fermata when I originally set everything, them (before preventing by chmod 511) when AA removed S2A and Fermata - I simply made Wipe Data for AA, followed by Restore

Today's test: everything works (connection to the car, S2A remains visible).

Solution:
Set chmod 551 recursively to the folders (just use root explorer and make sure "also include subfolders" is checked):
/data/data/com.google.android.projection.gearhead/shared_prefs
/data/data/com.google.android.projection.gearhead/files/phenotype

Thanks to everyone who went on a "scavenger hunt" with me ... which was unfortunately necessary thanks to our secret bearers.

Can confirm the above steps work for me as well. Samsung S8 (masquerading as Pixel 3 for other reasons); LineageOS19.1 (android 12), AA 8.3.624134. Normally reverts within a few hours, but has been going for a week now.

My touchscreen doesnt work, but in a weird way.
At first I thought touch doesnt work at all, but when touching certain elements, the visual hover effect on these elements get triggered (like moving over an element using a mouse or active pen)

It depends where it shows for you

But try to click, it should put the open app to background

Eg, open GMaps, press that button, GMaps should go to background.
Open S2A and some app in S2A like browser; press that button and browser should go to background and you can open another app from S2A

This new AA, sucks ass. Once entering car I can setup AA and watch my tv shows. But F me once I get a call or text I lose audio. The only way to fix it is reboot phone. Anyone know how to fix this crap? Pixel 7 pro rooted. I have tried the other apps from AAAD those don't work at all.

What apps? Any apps with DRM(Netflix,Amazon,Hulu,HBO,etc.) Google doesn't allow screen mirroring, so video won't work.

Others like YouTube, CinemaHD, IPTV apps work.

so if i install disable flag secure Netflix will not work ?
