Having problems! OK... I will admit - reluctantly - that I am a newb.
Well, I had rooted my phone 3 wks ago and proceeded to install adeo, then Gingerblur 7.2... (I didn't update to Gingerblur RC1 as this came out around the same time)...
I flashed back to 1.2.6 per the link...
Ran beforeupdate.bat... no problems
When I go to "...System updates" I get the message: Your device is up to date! No update is necessary at this time.
This has been happening for over an hour...
I've restarted twice.
Still no OTA update. Any ideas?

Restarting ADB server...

Checking device state...

Obtaining temporary root access...

Waiting for root access to kick in...

Mounting /system as read/write...

Are you already rooted? [y/n] y

Do you want to install sideloading? [y/n] y

Enabling sideloading...

Do you want to install custom tethering APN?
(Say NO if you already enabled this, or you will get duplicates) [y/n] n

Pushing backupsu.sh...

retval =

backup failed to execute properly.

I am rooted on 1.2.6 without any mods except aroot.

Only thing I haven't done is flash SBF (whatever that is). But I'm dling it now...along with RSDlite (whatever that is).
Had this problem. While connected (as USB storage) uncheck USB debugging and and enable it again. Check in Control Panel=>Device manager for ADB Services (should be at the top with sublisting for Motorola usb device or smthing like that).
Then open command promt:
cd\
cd\AndroidSDK(or whatever you called the SDK folder)\tools\
adb devices

Let me know if it helps

Just means the backup failed. Everything will still run perfectly fine.

It worked after the new download. The install of the new update finished and gave me the Android with Exclamation Logo. Flashed 1.2.6 just to make sure and same thing again...

I'm on 1.2.6, I've previously ran adeo and aroot scripts. My question is after I do the sbf, I assume I loose root and will have to run the aroot script again?
