Hi, Ive had this issue. If you go to application manager.. and acore process.. delete cache that seems to sort the fc.

Hello Patrick and Marck.

I flashed a ROM based on XXUFNE4 firmware and then ROMCleaner with my custom user.txt
Now, the only issue I'm facing is Google Contacts Sync Error. All others are syncing fine.
I get an occasional error message "Unfortunately the process android.process.acore has stopped.
I've tried it with various combinations of #s wondering if I was deleting some Google sync files. But to no avail. Still same issue.

The apks I thought were the problem, but not the problem are - GoogleFeedBack.apk, FixmoISA.apk, some /lib/xsync-keygen.so

Attached latest ROMCleaner.txt on a clean install of ROM. Please advise. Thank you.

does it work for Goggle Edition Rom? Which script should I use? anyone using it on Google Edition Rom?
Yes, I've used it on Dan's 4.4.3 ROM. Use the aosp one, it indicates this in the app when you run it but you wouldn't see that until you ran it of course. Make sure to edit in notepad++ if on Windows and add the _user part to the text file name. I believe some apps (if running after a ROM has booted) to delete their cache and data first then reboot to the cleaner. I only say this because I got some deleted wakelock events that I was told may be from removing applications without cleaning them first (may not be true). I've used this from a clean wipe then ROM install to get rid of stuff before it has even started though (Inc cyan nightlies) and it works brilliantly there.

Handy descriptions in the user.txt file !

Tried this on my S4 Mini LTE I9195 and it worked great !
Darn; I updated my S4 Mini LTE I9195 from 4.2.2 to 4.4.2 and now when I use this Rom Cleaner I get Google problems; doesn't allow me in the play store any more, can't link my gmail account,...

But that's not your fault, this script wasn't designed for my mini after all, so

Anyway, I tried and failed :silly:

Did you by any chance uncomment this line in your user.txt?

Code:
#com.google.android.gm*.apk Gmail Application
Please make a log collection, or upload your user.txt here if you are unsure.

Yes indeed!
I didn't know deleting the gmail application influenced all the other google stuff.. It didn't on my 4.2.2 so I didn't change my user.txt file.
I will try to add the # again and see what it does, but first I have to unbrick my phone, something went wrong when going back to 4.2.2

The problem is that if you remove, com.google.android.gm*.apk gmail app will be removed but so will com.google.android.gms.apk which is Google play service...

It's a mistake in the default list.
Simply remove the wildcard (*) if you wish to remove Gmail app.

Thanks for this, I'm getting an S4 in the next day or so and have been hunting for a decent (bug-and-glitch-free) clean AOSP ROM (see Shiny ROM for the Galaxy Nexus) but no-one's maintaining one, so cleaning the stock ROM out seems to be a safe alternative. Tedious doing that myself though, nice to have a script to do it :)
