I use firefox for android with abp, scrolling is usually smooth and sites load as quick as any mobile device I've used, but there is occassional scrolling stutter.

The geekbench 3 benchmarks on my 820 S7 are nuts, 2343 single and 5470 multi, those are laptop numbers, and that single score is a enormous improvement over any other android device. I have no complaints about performance.

My only real issue with scrolling is when I open the app list (or any other long list). The phone stumbles for about a second, then is fine. Maybe this has more to do with memory than anything, though.

Honestly, so far the S7 is a lot smoother than the S6 too me. This thing is buttery smooth so far. Samsung just needs to ditch their processors and stick with snapdragon. I can't get over how much smoother and responsive this phone is compared to the S6.
Sory but everyone is saying that The exynos s7 is smoother and faster than The snapdragon.. and by quite a bit.. check some v?*deos comparing both

Mates, I had this same annoying issue and it seems it is not a device's but an app's issue. I have rooted, changed the ROM and nothing changed. However, when I simply changed, for instance, Firefox to Dolphin, things got solved. Maybe it could be an app incompatibility with Marshmallow or something related to it.

Very choppy, in fact the p.o.s. just froze entirely and required a soft reset to shut it down. Noted sd card appeared in notifications sttaight afyer so that may be the issue. I just came from htc m8 and NEVER had to soft reset EVER. Samsung dogs##t.

Compared to my iPhone 5s I had before the scrolling on the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge is a lot less smooth then before. No matter in which App I try it.. One of the biggest things I miss so far. If there is any idea or fix, let me know..

Well actually, my brother owns a Galaxy S7 and he says that there's sometimes a small scrolling lag when it's in a medium usage.
Idk about others :)

Developer options

@all!

If you feel that you phone is choppy then go to settings and enable developers options and turn on:
- Force GPU rendering 2D
- Turn off hardware overlays (always use GPU for screen composing)

Sometimes I experience the same with some apps and after enabling those 2 its butter smooth.

Keep in mind that if you restart the phone you need to enable them back

Ever wonder why the stock samsung internet browser worked better and smoother than google chrome? Its because google chrome for some reason was set not to use the gpu by default.

You can check by toggling the Show GPU updates in the developer settings. Launch chrome and you will see that only the notification bar is drawn by the gpu. The rest of the app is just being rendered by the cpu.
