From reading online and here the Exynos version that seems to have issues is the 930FD (dual SIM version)So it's actually both the exynos and the snapdragon. hmm
Yup. Just did that tonight....huge difference.Androidkid27 on the T Mobile forum figured out that if you remove the "small" screen scaling setting and leave it set to "large", it fixes the issue. The choppiness during scrolling is gone. Mine is now 1000% better. Hope they fix this scaling issue in the next update.
I cut animations to .5 and use Nova Launcher. Zero lag, phone is super fast. Some phones exhibit choppy scrolling, especially when navigating long web pages when multiple apps are running in the background. Rate this thread to express how you smooth scrolling feels on the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 under such conditions. A higher rating indicates that scrolling is always buttery smooth, even when you're reading a 10,000 word article on "how to kiss a girl".
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
that seemed to help as wellWhat are you guys setting scaling to? Small or large?

extra small, which is second click from the left of the slider i think. It will name it once you back out. To me, extra small font on large scale looks exactly like tiny font on small scale-it is very readable. I still think cutting the animations made the biggest difference though. They're just laggy.Small or large?
Maybe this is my issue. I'm here in Canada with the Black Onyx one. At times it's smooth and good but then will just start to lag and stutter...especially app switching or typing. With the recall though I wonder if a new replacement will alleviate this.Just to add to this. I received my snapdragon Sprint version in Black last Thursday. My wife got a coral blue one. I noticed right off that her scrolling was buttery smooth. She plays Pokemon Go, and her balls fly just fine when catching them, while mine would dribble to the side with my finger on the freaking screen sometimes or not throw very far at all.
So finally I decided it had to be defective. Drove 35 miles to the nearest Corporate Sprint store that actually had one in stock and then showed them the side by side comparison and problems. They factory reset it but it still had the same issue. So they defective exchanged it with a new one for me. I was within my 14 days anyway, so had they deemed it not defective I still would have switched it out and paid the restocking fee.
My new one is buttery smooth just like hers.
So it seems that quality control issues might be a factor here. It is either the GPU, touchscreen, or a software bug effecting some of them. So if you are having issues as I described go to your carrier ASAP and get them to swap it out.
Jesus christ learn to type -.-souds diapointing
