Scrolling smoothness

Some phones exhibit choppy scrolling, especially when navigating long web pages when multiple apps are running in the background. Rate this thread to express how you smooth scrolling feels on the Google Pixel 3 under such conditions. A higher rating indicates that scrolling is always buttery smooth, even when you're reading a 10,000 word article on "how to kiss a girl".

Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!

i returned my first pixel 3 because the scrolling was major jittery. didn't need anything running in the background. the replacement device was the same. i've been to at least 8 Verizon stores in CT and CA to see if it was just my ****e luck. nope. although i finally found one pixel 3 in Pasadena that had smooth scrolling.
think most people don't notice it for some reason. anyone I showed it to absolutely saw it, including Verizon sales people.

Yeah, the Pixel 3 drops frames during scrolling (especially web pages in Chrome). Of course it won't stutter in your Contacts app, but that's to be expected - it's extremely lightweight and mostly text + small user icon. But browser pages... gosh, I DO believe that Pixel 1 (OG) is better than this (have both).

...or maybe it's just chrome getting more and more laggy. Also happens on the desktop (mac at least) version. Getting worse at each version.

I was wondering this, and at least I know it's not just me. Periodically I see stuttering although it's not the end of the world. I think just from off the top of my head, the OG Pixel worked the best. Never had app closing in the RAM and even though it was basic looking, it worked the best.

All the Pixel 3's I've tried, 3 of them, were dropping frames all over the place, specially after continuous use when phone would get warm and underclock. My Pixel 2 by comparison is completely fluid in the same scenarios.

I have been using the Pixel 3 since august 2019, very smooth and fast scrolling.
Deppending on the app, it may jitter sometimes if extra loading is vecessary, but no worse than other devices.
