got a Samsung Galaxy S to replace the X10. Holy... everyone else should jump ship.

Used the same SD card I got with the Xperia and still am .... it has absolutely no effect on the recording what so ever.

I had to use a Galaxy S for two weeks while my Xperia was out for a case replacement.

I couldn't wait to get rid of the thing. What a terrible phone.

from what I've read from the internet, the i9000 is actually one of the fastest phones in that era
it is also the phone that allows you most freedom in terms of custom roms and all that crap

but to run fast in stock rom, you just need to do a lot of modifications.

NB: My mother has an i9000 still on 2.1-update1 (didn't have the time to do the update for her)
and it runs as fast as my x10 2.1+JIT+taskiller with only using taskiller and no other speed mods

The SD card affects the HD video recording a bit.
With my class2 and class4 sd cards the HD videos had short stayer, where the picture didn't move for about 0.5 to 1 sec but with my class10 everything is nice and fluent.

My Canon Vixia requires Class 4 for 1080p at something like 20 or 24 mbps (compared to the oem rate of 6 mbps).

Class 4 is overkill for 6 mbps. It's either something with how SE transmits data to and from the card (driver issue) or the software (not enough of a cache/buffer).

Back when I had my N85, it would stutter at times even though I had a class 10 card in there. It took stuttery video at times because I think the cache/buffer wasn't proper.

Sorry but this thread wasn't designed to slate the X10 as I genuinely like(d) it but when I got the Galaxy it literally blows it out the water. Stock 2.1 on the X10 is laggy and just plain unacceptable but stock 2.2 on the Galaxy is just the same tbh but once a single lagfix and root is applied its silky smooth.

HD recording starts quicker and saves quicker as do pictures.

Now onto the class - it really doesn't. Coming from someone who got really frustrated at this feature on the X10 and blaming it on the SD card it really isn't the cards fault just an inneficient phone.

Also : how come the SGS connects to wifi in 2 seconds but regardless of ROM the X10 is about 5-10?
