Ok. haven't seen anything similar so figured new post.. so here goes:

went to install a new rom.. went in and did normal wiping

wipe cache
wipe davlik
factory reset
wipe system
reboot and redo

After i did this (ive done this many times no issues..) twrp stopped recognizing my ext sdcard... luckly i had a rom on my internal and was able to at least load something.. i put root explorer back on and it too does not see an ext card... i took my card out and put it in my laptop and at first it didnt see it.. i put another sd card in the laptop and it saw it.. so took it out and then out my 32gb back in and it sees it.. right now im copying everything off it to back it up..

when i put the 16gb in phone, sees it fine.. i put the 32gb back in it and phone doesnt see it.. again did the same as above with laptop.. at first doesnt see it unless i put the 16 in first then take it out..

anyone got any thoughts on what i might need to do?

wondering if i should format it and see if that fixes it

Yeah, reformat the 32 with the computer.

thanks. well so far seems to be working.. i did a repair on it in windows.. and then put it back in phone and so far so good.. if it goes away i at least have backup and will format it next time.. thnx
